So second monitoring scan today shows my lucky 7 follicles all growing nicely. Measuring between 10mm & 18mm. So advice from Clinic is to have last shot of gonal f tonight & trigger. Egg Collection Friday. They’re worried if we were to leave it until Monday as originally planned that we will lose some if they grow too big. Lining 9.6mm 😀 Very excited but nervous at same time, all happening very fast now.
Has anyone had similar numbers and collected a full house ? I am praying for 7 but understand some may be too small

Amazing! If I remember correctly (it’s 27 months ago), I had quite a few smaller follicles that miraculously caught up. So they weren’t even included in the count, but were they on retrieval day and contained a mature egg! Also have to say on the previous, more disastrous cycle I had some empty follicles. One way or the other, 7 is a damn good starting number I’d say, well done! Good luck Friday and keep us posted! X
Great news! I had 7 at 15mm & upwards but there were also 4 at 12mm so they delayed my collection by a day to try and get those 4 - I was only doing one cycle. Those 4 sure did jump up so they were retrieved too as well as some stragglers! The last injection can make a difference ☺️
That’s fab I really think this is our last go so I wanted to keep going next 2 nights with injections to give the smaller ones chance to catch up. Clinic advise though they should be looking at collection as soon as 2 reach 18mm. Apparently they expect the bigger ones to have the good quality ones & if we waited until Monday we may lose the big ones x
Ah well makes sense to have the quality ones! Sounds really positive! Plus too many can cause OHSS and I had that slightly because they upped my dosage. Xx
