New tests - clinic in Athens - anyone done these?

Hi, I am trying a clinic in Athens and they have suggested a test of my period blood that includes the following:

•an 'ordinary' test for Chlamydia Trachomatis;

• a test of total bacterial load, which measures the level of 'good bugs' (lactobacillae) – a reduced population tends to indicate an abnormal vaginal environment caused by another, more hostile, bacteria, such as E-coli, Proteus etc.;

•Ureaplasmas;

•2 species of Mycoplasmas – Mycoplasma Genitalium and Mycoplasma Hominis;

•2 other Bacterial Vaginosis species – Gardnerella Vaginalis and Atopobium Vaginae);

•Herpes group viruses: HSV1 and HSV2

•HHV 6 (virus recently linked to unexplained female infertility).

Has anyone else come across this?

Ive had these tests done but mine was done with a uterine biopsy as I was having a hysteroscopy. Mine were all clear. Have you looked at the site fertility friends? There is a bit more info on there under the Greece section. I know of a lady that had success after having treatment for the "hidden C" test.xx

I have had this test, it tests for common infections that can affect fertility and pregnancy, most of which I think can be treated quite easily with a course of antibiotics. I have also heard some positive outcomes of ladies who went on to have success following this treatment, so it may be worth a try.

I did part of these. I am from Romania and did ivf here. They requested them from the start and I know they are seen as standard (some not only for ivf).
