I’m new here. I’m in my first cycle and have egg collection on Monday. I’m doing egg sharing as it is making the IVF cheaper for us. The issue is my husband so we’re using donor sperm. We’ve been on this journey for a long time as I had to lose 3stone to be able to have the treatment. I’m 34 so don’t have much time as self funding after 35 will be too expensive. Just wondering if anyone else has been through the same circumstances that can give me a realistic view of it all or some pearls of wisdom. Thanks 😌😌

Hello! I have not had a similar experience but I have some thoughts.
Good for you for the weight loss! That’s going to improve your chances absolutely. And if your eggs are plentiful enough and deemed of a quality such that they can be donated, then that’s another big positive for you! I think you’re off to a wonderful beginning! 👍😊
Hiya! I too am egg sharing - but we’ve only just got our results back and the all clear to donate with IVF. I’ll be following you as you are a few months ahead How many follicles do you currently have and what meds have you been on? Do you have a high AMH? Good Luck!
Hi, they haven’t told me exactly how many follicles, but they said that results are looking good. I’ll post here when I know how many eggs I get on Monday. I’ve been on gonal-f and fyremadel. Got 2 hours to go until I take my trigger injection tonight at 9pm. I have an average AMH, within the boundaries acceptable.
I like you have joined the egg sharing programme but a couple of months behind you. Preliminary scans show I had 20 follicles all together. The issue is with me (blocked tubes) but have been told to expect to pay around £1200 total as we need PICSI. The lady I'm sharing with is on holiday so that's why I'm not starting til Sept. I'm waiting to get consent forms signed and treatment plan. Am excited yet nervous about what's to come. Keep me posted on your outcome xx
Hi all, Update, I am now travelling home from EC this morning. I had 17 eggs so that’s positive. Am now on that nervous wait to see how many were mature, what the share is and then how many fertilise xx
I egg shared, got pregnant after my first transfer and my son is now 7 weeks old. With my clinic they treated me exactly the same as a normal IVF cycle just they took half of my eggs xxx
