Only few eggs

I started another short cycle and had my first scan after 5 days stimulating yesterday. Unfortunately there might be only 3 eggs to collect, only if two of them grow further. If not I guess there will be no collection at all. It is devastating as the last time I could do a cycle was over a year ago with one FET in October. But I also had an operation in between and the last cycle I started needed to break off in the middle as the hormones where not good. Then it took 2 months until I could start again.

I am 41 and each cycle are fewer and fewer eggs. I am now sure if I want to do another cycle with my own eggs as it doesn’t seem to work.

We are considering egg donation but it is such a hard decision as we already have a 6 year old daughter. Is there someone in a similar situation? Some other stories or advice would be much appreciated.
