Positive thinking only 2 eggs

Started first cycle recently for ICSI. Responded to meds but only got 4 eggs (had to have collection without sedation but that’s another story) and could be my age as I am 43☹️! Clinic called yesterday and only 2 made it so far. Waiting to hear today if the 2 have developed further. Just so difficult to stay positive. Anyone out there had success with one or two eggs?! Could really do with the positive vibes!

Hello, on my last cycle I had four eggs collected and two fertilised both made it to day five, one transferred unfortunately resulting in a chemical pregnancy, the other has been frozen.Wishing you all the luck, every hurdle is an anxious time, but I found the time in between collection and waiting to see how they developed particularly hard. You’ve done all you can at this stage - have everything crossed for you 😀

Been naturally pregnant in my 43 with only 4 eggs. But I don't know now whether my left eggs still in good quality or not .. must have klomen or whatsoever ... For make hormon more good .. I was lost my baby in 6.5 weeks pregnant 4 days ago .. really I was sad and upset with myself. But I realized miracle only when God approved.. keep trying praying and give it all to God instead

Thanks all. Sadly none made it to day 5 so nothing to transfer or freeze. Feeling devastated and wondering if it is worth trying again at my age (43). 😔

I am so so sorry, this cycle did not work out as planned. I know how disappointing that can be.

I don’t think you should give up just yet if you have any more resolve left just because of your age. I was told that at 43, I still had a chance if I was willing to take it.

I will be 44 in June and still doing IVF treatment. I was just advised to do a multi- cycle package of embryo banking. I spoke to 4 different clinics including the clinic I was with last year before switching. None of them said it was pointless. They just told me to be realistic that my chances were low. I personally thought it was worth taking that chance because I was not ready to give up after one failed cycle.

My plan is to give it a good go before I give up. I know my chances are slim and my treatment cycle has had its ups and downs. Like you I had nothing to freeze at my last cycle. I will try a fresh transfer for my 3rd and final cycle.

Your story may be different to mine but why not wait until your review meeting to decide?

I’m sorry to read your update. There’s no pressure to make a decision on the next steps yet, hopefully you won’t be waiting to long waiting for the review meeting with the doctor, think of all the questions you have beforehand so you can make an informed decision on the next steps forward.
