Woke up with some bleeding 7w5d pregnant.

Woke up at 5am with some light bleeding, which just adds to my concern as my pregnancy symptoms have bee decreasing. Not really sure who I need to contact to try and get a scan, as currently in the middle of changing G.Ps and the new surgery want nothing yo do with me until Monday when they do a health screen and pregnancy test 🙄.. even though Ive already had one scan and could prove I'm pregnant. So until then, although I've spoken with the midwife I will be assigned too, I technically dont have one yet as the gp surgery wont let me make appointments

Try calling your early pregnancy dept. They may not see you without hearing from your GP yet but definitely worth a try if you cant get a private one! Failing that get onto the midwife as you've had contact with her already. Really hope all is ok and it settles down, got everything crossed for you!xx

I've contacted the midwife and shes going to contact the EPAU and get back to me however she said that I wont get a scan today because they're very busy at the minute due to short staffing levels x

Uuurghhh well at least if they can squeeze you in at some point soon that would be good. Have you had a look at babybond or ultrasound direct to see if they have any appointments in your area at all? I use them for my pre planning treatment scans and they're dotted all around the country.xx

Yeah, the earliest they had was Saturday! Midwife contacted me back and theyve got me in for 2.30 tomorrow. I don't feel overly concerned about the bleeding as it's not bright red, it's the decrease of other symptoms accompanied by the bleeding that are worrying. I mean I cant do anything else as I'm on oestrogen fragmin and progesterone (which can also irritate the cervix and cause bleeding) so if something is wrong then it's because they're "not compatible with life" just got to wait it out and see. Hopefully all will be fine and it's just the pessaries

Oh that's good, I know tomorrow isnt now but its a good start. Could you use the pessaries in the back door in case its irritation and or up the dose until things settle. I would say its good that its not bright red and hoepfully you arent getting any pain with it. You're doing all that you can, try to take it easy until tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed, will be thinking of you!xx

No I cant use them as suppositories as I've been having trouble and pain with that side since being pregnant 😂 I'll just rest for the day and see how everything is tomorrow. We had a scan last week and everything was good so hopefully will be the same tomorrow x

People keep asking if I want more than one, my answer is no. I want to get through and get our child and I am done Haha. One is enough x

Firstly, congratulations on gettin pregnant! I was just about to ask the same thing.... as in did you feel like the bleed is fresh. I haven't happened to be lucky to get pregnant for much longer but infertility gives you lots of motivation to do online digging and talk to people to know more. I wouldn't call the small amount any negative really... it could just be the hormones. Also, like the symptoms doesn't guarantee you're pregnant it's dissapearance doesn't guarantee that your pregnancy is at risk either. I know someone personally who've had a wacko gestation. She is my first cousing but more like a sibling as we're around the same age... so in her case the symptoms were never there. Then she started getting them around the end of 2nd trimester for 3-4 weeks straight and then they dissapered. At such stage it's obvious to panic and so she did... but thankfully everything was fine. Also, during the final weeks she was rushed to hospital thrice as she spotted bleeding... not heavy but light streams... irrespective of which she had a normal delivery and healthy baby at 40 weeks ( the late I remember cause it was significant). You should get in touch with the midwife and do everything to reassure everything is okay.. but don't stress about it unless there's reason to.... cause that can jeoperdise the chances for sure. Wish you a great gestation ahead <3<3

If that was me I would go straight to hospital and say you want to get checked because you have bleeding and very concerned. They would have to check you. Xx

Only concern about going to the hospital is that I went last year when I was pregnant and had bleeding (it's different this time) and they just said that they wouldn't examine me and couldn't do anything as I was to early. I know as a nurse who works in a different A&E this is false, however all that happened is I ended up arguing with the doctor and then giving up and she actually put on my medical record that I left the department against medical advise!! I was fuming! I've tried the fertility clinic a couple times as I'm still under their car until next week but haven't managed to get through yet x

I've got an appointment with EPU tomorrow. It's not heavy bleeding, thinking it may just be some cervical irritation. My scan last Thursday was good so I cant wait untill tomorrow. Thank you x

I awoke with a gush one morning early on. I immediately went into panic mode. It was after bfp, before assurance scan and definitely before I had seen my midwife. My epu called me back and were so calm and reassuring. If you are not continuing to bleed, don't fill a pad in an hour or have large clots, then they are not worried at this stage. Your body is going through lots of changes and adjustments and it could be caused by so many things other than what you immediately think. Do rest up and try not to panic (I know that is not easy). Do some positive visualisations, some yoga breathing and try to relax. That's the best and only thing you can do at this point. Big hugs xxx

I bled heavily around 8 weeks and my pregnancy symptoms were also disappearing. I went straight to epu as my anxiety was through the roof. They examined me and said everything looked ok, I had a cervical ectropian. It’s easy for me to say try not to worry but don’t think something is wrong because ur symptoms are disappearing. I didn’t get any symptoms after 8 weeks. The baby is now 1 year old. Il keep my fingers crossed for you x

I can’t say much about the bleeding but as for the symptoms don’t worry, last week I felt completely fine (9 weeks) and wouldn’t of known I was pregnant at all and was seriously worried, this week been feeling nauseous again since Monday and completely exhausted, so don’t symptom stress x

It seems to have stopped this morning, had a tepid bath last night rather than a shower as wondered whether the build up of progesterone was just too much and seems to have worked so far Haha. It was minimal all day anyway, I'm just a bit paranoid as we all are x
