Pregnant & bleeding

Hi, I've been reading but haven't posted since my last mc last year. We gave up as I simply couldn't take any more, I couldn't live my life focused on ivf & all the devastation, but then we decided 1 more go. I'm 5w4d today, exact same day I mc last year, I just wanted to get past today - my period started at lunchtime. I headed straight to my clinic, luckily my doctor saw me & scanned me straight away. She found an embryo with a hb of 103. It's all a blur, I was so distraught I don't remember what she said or even driving home. I've been told to rest & started on Pregnl. I cant get my head around this at all as I'm sitting here with what feels & looks like a full blown period yet I'm still pregnant. I honestly dont know how anybody gets through this process in one piece. Thanks for listening, X.

Hey Molly2016, you poor pet, sorry to hear youre having a hard time. I hope all works out. I know its easier said than done but try not to worry and follow doctors orders:))) Fingers crossed AF will go xxx

I can feel your pain, it is so hard to deal with all the worry, anguish and nightmares of the past. To be able to see a heartbeat so early is a very good sign so I guess you just have to rest and wait. I hope you can get another scan soon to ease your nerves. Call your clinic tomorrow and ask any questions, tell them you can't make sense of your situation. They will help you and explain as many times as necessary. Hang in there, I'm sending lots of love to your little embie to keep on fighting xoxo

Your bound to be worried, it's great news that they found your embryo and heartbeat. It's a very difficult process but we have to go through it to get our outcome and hopefully this is your time. Try to rest if you can, wishing you lots of luck xx

Gosh I feel for u Hun!! Just do as instructed & rest up as much as u can.my friend had lots of heavy bleeding during both her IVF pregnancies & had 2 wonderfully healthy children so it's not always a bad sign!!xxx

Hi, the bleeding started again & I have a blood clot, is this what you had? How did/ do you cope with the bleeding, I'm finding it very difficult. Many thanks, X.

Hi, thank you so much for replying to me, it's a huge help. The bleeding stopped today - I'm almost afraid to write that incase I jinx things. I cannot imagine how distressing it would be to bleed all the way through. I'm taking it very easy from here on in, the mental stress alone from dealing with yesterday has floored me. I have an excellent doctor who has suggested we take it week by week. I wish both mental & physical strenght to all of us on here, X.

This sounds so so hard for you. Keep resting. My friend had two miscarriages then bled through her third pregnancy but now has a beautiful little girl. Put yourself first, don't be tempted to stop resting just cos the bleeding has stopped, and make sure your oh does all the housework!!! Xx
