2ww
Hi,
I’m also vegetarian and really struggled with getting enough protein when told I should be eating 60-70g a day. During the 2ww (and in the run up). To hit the protein levels I’m making smoothies with soy milk, protein powder, spirulina powder and a banana.
I was told to eat like you’re pregnant (which hopefully you are!) - try to get loads of different colour fruit and veg a day, my clinic said max 1 cup of coffee. Beetroot and spinach are also meant to be good for veggies because of the high iron content.
Good luck with your cycle xx
I was told everything you would do and eat during pregnancy is fine in the 2ww. So healthy and balanced is good, as a vegetarian you probably look after your diet more than most meat-eaters anyway. VitD and folic acid you should have as supplement. Milk products ard good and if you are prone to getting sick, zinc seems to help (at least works for me). See that you have enough B12 and iron for the blood. Would not worry too much
I had a protein shake every morning as I also struggle to get enough protein. Tried to have eggs, beans or cheese with my lunch and dinner or as snacks. Otherwise I tried to eat a lot of fruit and veg. I read that pomegranate and beetroot juice was good to drink after transfer. Tasted disgusting but was willing to try anything. Good luck 😊😊😊
Aww thanks for this it helps alot do like my eggs cheese and beans and fruit struggle with veg as only like asparagus at runner beans so will have to up my intake of those 🙄😁
