We have finished our fourth round using our last frostie. OTD was Tuesday & we were elated to get a strong BFP.

Yesterday I had stomach pain all day and then spent all last night from 11:30pm to almost 5:30am with horrendous D&V. I was being sick & the other at least hourly. Still retching now. My husband phoned our clinic this morning to tell them as I threw up the progynova & pretty certain I lost the pessaries too. They said not to worry & just take as normal tonight.

I’ve just been to the loo and had more runs, but also pink spotting exactly the same as how my last miscarriage started. Everything I’ve read has said a stomach bug doesn’t cause a miscarriage but I’m so very frightened. I don’t know what to do. I’m bereft. Should I take the prognova and pessaries early (normally 10pm) or is there just no stopping it now?

Gosh this journey is so damn hard 😢

Thank you,

Katie

Thank you. No more runs but still feel very sick. Hoping beyond hope it’s morning Dickens’s but realise it’s very early for that.

I hope everything is going well for you. I think you have your viability scan the day after mine! I hope I get that far. Xx

Argh bless ya, well in my opinion with previous miscarriage I would be calling 111 for further advise. Better to air on the edge of caution and get some professional advise at this point, don't want to worry you but you are obviously really concerned and not well anyway. Just go see a Dr hun get a second opinion. xx big prayers sending your way xx

Thank you. I’m going to see what the morning brings, praying the spotting stops. If not I will definitely call the clinic. Xx

Nothing we can say will help your worry but I would take an extra pessary if your tummy has settled and again at 10....what's the harm?! I'm really hoping everything is ok. Do you have a date for scan? Lots of love.xxx

Thank you. I took your advice and took a pessary, will take the usual 2 at 10pm. Scan booked in for June 18th. Feels so far away!

I hope everything is going well for you and have everything crossed for your next cycle. You are always so helpful on this forum, it is definitely your time. Xx

I hope everything goes well for you and you’re feeling better now.

I’d add in with what others have said about getting a professional opinion. However, the pessaries can cause some light spotting and it’s not completely unusual to have spotting in the early stages of pregnancy.

Hang in there and stay positive. Praying for you !

Congratulations. I had morning sickness ( well all day and night sickness) from the day before i got my BFP, im 11 +5 and only just settled so definately not too early for it. Try not to worry too much the spotting could be nothing. Fingers crossed for you ❤️X

Congratulations on the BFP!

I hope that all the D&V have eased today for you. What a nightmare, it would be too much to hope that in this game you’d get a few days to enjoy your positive test.

Feel better soon xx

Could your gp prescribe anti sickness meds for you to help keep the tablets in once you take them? Are you allowed imodium?

Thank you all so so much. I can’t really express just how comforting this forum is & how just a few simple words from strangers can ease such anxiety.

I’m happy to say that both the D&V, and spotting have stopped, & I feel a lot better. Still nervous every time I go to the loo, but guess that’s pretty normal!

Thank you all again,

Katie
