Hi all, I took my pregnancy test on Monday (my OTD) and managed to wait without any prior testing and to my shock it was a clear positive. I’m obviously over the moon but still in utter disbelief as I 110% believed it hadn’t worked.L and was shaking when doing the test, braving myself for a BFN. Before this I had a failed transfer and a natural miscarriage so I’m horribly anxious every single day.

Im a bit concerned as I’ve been getting period pains on and off and more so, on. Last night I had period pains all night. should I be worried? I’m so scared about what happened last time, happening again. The cramps are not severe at all and generally mild ish but seem to be there most of the time and a little more prominent at night. Has anyone else had this? Just very on edge as it’s such early days.

really appreciate any advice. Thankyou x

Congratulations and well done for waiting for OTD - so hard to do!

Cramps at this stage are really common, often the embryo just implanting deeper. I had this with my last BFP on and off for a few weeks. Unless they are really bad and accompanied by red blood you're pretty much ok I think.

Thanks so much for replying. Ok that’s good to know. I don’t seem to remember having any cramps last time when I had a natural pregnancy (ended in early MC) the only time I had cramps was the severe ones when it happened :( however, I’m on all these meds now so could be the amounts of progesterone I’m on too!

Thanks for the reassurance. They’re generally mild but were a bit more obvious last night. No bleeding at all but again I’m on so much progesterone lol.

really appreciate your response and that’s great you got your bfp too. Are you still pregnant now? Or was this a while ago xx

This was my 2nd pregnancy but unfortunately ended in an mmc at 8.5 weeks. My first very luckily was successful and my little boy is 2.5 years ❤️

Yes I do think the meds can make you feel a bit crampy too - but for me cramps have always been a good sign :) I think you are also so aware of every little thing, I wonder if you would notice them otherwise!

I'm sorry your natural pregnancy ended in an mc - it's so hard.

Thankyou and really appreciate the reassurance. I agree, I’m completely on edge and find it worse at night for some reason. I didn’t know much about it before. So happy to hear you I’ve your little boy 💜 💜

HI. Well done you and I hope all continues as it should. The pains you have had could be due to a bit of infection, so drink plenty of water to make lots of urine and nice and pale. Should you need any pain re

If, then paracetamol only.no anti inflammatories such as ibuprofen. You’ve been through a lot to get here, both of you. Love and hugs. Diane

Thanks Diane, I’m drinking lots and it’s a pale colour so that’s good. I’m also taking probiotics and vaginal probiotics to try and help. Much appreciated:)

Congratulations! Mild cramps are really common in early pregnancy. But if they get worse or you’re really concerned, it’s always a good idea to check in with your GP or clinic. Sending you lots of positive thoughts. x

Thanks so much for your reply and reassurance. They’re fairly mild and haven’t had any spotting or bleeding but I have noticed the cramps increase slightly after putting in the progesterone pessaries which may be causing them a bit too. Thanks so much. Think I’m just super on edge atm. Lol xx

Thanks so much for replying. Yes I’ve been having them since transfer really but more consistent this week. I’m currently 4wks 5days so sounds about right with what you’ve said. Thanks again. I’m just noticing everything 🙈 xx

Yes same had them for a few days following transfer then seemed to stop and then peaked again from 4-5 weeks. I believe it’s a good sign. It’s a really interesting period with lots of changes. Keep enjoying the journey, praying it’s smooth for you

Thanks so much. That’s sounds so similar to me! Yes, I can’t wait until I can enjoy it more and not be so on edge lol xx

Hi Singershope, I also had cramps at this stage. I had them for about 24 hours at 2dp5dt then they started again at 13dpt. It was like period cramps but with these super sharp random twinges. They calmed down a bit and went a bit on and off and then stopped completely after about week 8. I'm now 15 weeks. Good luck! xx

Oh wow! It’s interesting to hear other people’s journeys and biggest congratulations to you! The cramps seemed to have settled this morning, and now I worry why they’ve stopped! God this journey is a big worry train! Lol 😂 I think from what a lot have said the symptoms can come and go and some days are worse than others. Trying not to over analyse but it’s proved impossible to me so far! 😅 wishing you all the best in your pregnancy journey! X

You do start to relax a bit eventually but it is so unsettling. Suddenly there is alot to lose! But I am now counting weeks instead of days so it does get easier. Definitely symptoms change all the time and even now my symptoms are coming and going. Two days earlier this week I woke up so tired, then was fine. Then yesterday had indigestion and headache. Today, totally fine and skipped out of bed and went for a long walk before work. No rhyme or reason for any of it but you just have to trust that everything is going well if there is nothing to tell you that it isn't, and enjoy the times you have no symptoms. I stopped testing after a week or two as well as that was achieving nothing but anxiety. Fingers crossed everything keeps going well for you!

Ah thanks so much for sharing with me, it does help to hear others journeys. I have done two tests (one first response and one clear blue which told me 2-3 weeks) Testing has given me such anxiety and I was thinking next week I should do another to check it says 3+ weeks but that is just going to make me so stressed so I totally agree with you about the testing. Yes, today I feel great! Good energy and no cramps, boobs a bit less tender than usual but still there but I did have a much better nights sleep! You’re right, things must change like the wind. Yesterday I felt crappy! So yes!

Thanks again and really wishing you all the very best and sending all the positivity your way! Sounds like all is going just perfectly! X

congrats 💓 I’m 9 weeks and have also had cramping the whole time. Mild and twingy but always there

I’m kind of issues to them now. It’s just all the stuff going on in there and all the extra blood flow.

I’ve also had spotting and a small bleed at 7 weeks which stopped.

It can all be so concerning but just got to take it one day at a time.

Wishing you all the best with everything progressing 🙏

Thanks so much! I know it’s so hard not to worry at every single change! Congratulations to you though and sending all the positivity your way!

I haven’t had any bleeding or spotting but it’s early days, plus I’m on so much progesterone, I don’t know if I will lol!

Thanks so much for your reply! It does help to know others experience similar things!

Take care xx
