Feeling defeated. Repeating same protocol - Anyone had success?

Hello all. I just had my consultation after my failed IVF round. I feel very defeated and disappointed as my consultant just rejected all of my suggestions and we will be repeating the same protocol. I was on the short protocol, meriofert + centrotide and we only got 3 mature eggs (14 baseline) and only 1 blast on day 5 that ended in chemical pregnancy. I just feel like we are doomed by repeating the same exact protocol that failed us.... Any words of encouragement? Right now, I don't even want to do it... My partner says we should trust the doctor but I am having a really hard time. My NHS clinic has below average success rates and I just cannot imagine in any other field of science where you would just repeat the same tactic that failed you before.

Hello. If you aren't happy with what they are suggesting can you try another clinic?

Why does he/she think it will work if it didn't last time? Did they give a reason for not changing it as it does sound strange... x

We were lucky my clinic took on board the fact that we did not want to do exactly the same thing and wanted to try and alleviate possible issues from failed cycles. I feel it was very wrong of them to dismiss your concerns out of hand. Is there not another consultant available at the same facility? Definitely get a second opinion it doesn't sound right they ignore your wishes entirely. It's your body and your hopes on the line. Xx
