Has anyone had successful pregnancy from same batch frozen embryos, following previous miscarriage?

I am nervously awaiting my early pregnancy scan next week, we had a batch of 4 frozen 5 day blasto's, first one didn't implant, the second one was a successful implantation but miscarriage at 6 1/2 weeks, now I am pregnant following the transfer of 2 5-day blasto's, I just wondered if anyone has had experience of a successful pregnancy following transfer from the same frozen batch, I'm just so worried this was a flawed batch and that this transfer will end in the same way as the last one...

Not a personal experience but I have a friend who had a mc on her first transfer and a successful pregnancy from her next frozen transfer from the same batch. I know it’s so hard but one mc doesn’t mean all your embryos are bad so try and focus on the fact you are pregnant, the odds are in your favour now ❤️ xxxx

I’m currently 15 weeks from my second frozen transfer from the same batch. The first transfer ended in miscarriage and testing revealed a monosomy 21. So far this pregnancy all going well and NIPT was normal. I think out of a batch of embryos some may be abnormal due to chance but that doesn’t mean all will be. Good luck!

Thank you for your comments, it really helps to hear success stories when I am trying to manage anxiety levels and stop obsessing! Fingers crossed for next week :) xx

Morning, I'm currently cuddling my 4 week old little girl after a chemical pregnancy then a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks. She is our third time lucky from the same batch of embryos. I understand your anxiety for your scan, try and stay positive and will be thinking of you. Xx

Thank you that's really good to hear, my scan date is booked for next Thursday so I'll know more then, just trying to take it a day at a time, but it's hard isn't it :)

It really is hard, I burst into tears before each scan as I was riddled with anxiety. Luckily my husband got to come to the 12 week scan but I had to do the 20 week scan alone, due to covid, which was really hard on us both. It's really sad what IVF does to us but you're stronger than you realise I promise xxx

Hi Egilbertpatt, im sorry to hear about your previous loss. I am also looking for similar answers. I've had 2 miscarriages now but from 2 different cycles but this time we have 3 embryos in the freezer. We have been referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit and hoping they can shed some light. We have also sent our remaining pregnancy to the EPU as they said they would also send the remains to test for any chromosomal abnormality. Once we hear back we will then decide whether to do PGS testing on the other 3 remaining or go for another fresh cycle. The PGS testing is quiet expensive in the UK and I think it prob works out better to go abroad for a fresh cycle than to find out after all that expense that the embryos are non viable. Atm I have so many questions but really not sure which avenue to cross but with our second fresh cycle I had taken more supplements and also a higher does of folic acid but the yolk sac was still enlarged albeit less than the first round, which makes me think its chromosomal issue. I hope we all get some answers soon.

Best of luck with your pregnancy and I pray this pregnancy goes smoothly for you xx

Sorry to hear about your experiences too, this is so hard isn't it. It's good you may get some answers from the testing though, I did try with my last one but they said they wouldn't test for abnormalities so I just assumed it was that. I hope you get some answers and can make a good decision on how best to proceed, wishing you lots of luck on your future journey xx

Thank you I really appreciate your kind words and I hope I get some answers too.

My understanding is that majority of the hospitals accept referrals after the 3 miscarriage which is so bad and disheartening to know so we were fortunate that we were referred after our second miscarriage. Not that it makes it easier but I'm hoping we will get some answers going forward on this journey xx

Your earlier post really cheered me up regarding testing 7 days post transfer.Got BFN 9 days post 5 day FET.

Trying to stay positive 👍👍👍
