Menopur- 1st Scan

Hello Ladies, firstly let me say I've learnt so much from this forum and all your willingness to share information has given so much confidence and knowledge. Thank you!!

Today I had my first scan to see if I'm responding to the Fsh. I'm injecting menopur every night. The nurse said I have 3 follicles on my left Ovary and 5 on my right. The 5 on my right however are small and need to grow. This is our first time ever on IVF & that's the only chance we have. My EC is provisionally booked for Monday the 20th of May.

My lining was 8.9 which I was told is good, what I wanted to know is, is the number of Follicles good enough to to get a good number of eggs? I'm still on Suprecur and menopur, and will see what happens on Friday morning when I have the next scan.

Hi, well done for getting this far. Try not too get to worried about numbers. I had 12 follicles and 11 eggs but in the end..we had only one blastocyst and nothing to freeze.

You will find out on Friday how big your follicles are and this will be important. My EC was delayed one as they wanted to grow them a bit more. I was told the number of follicles does not change between the scans, just the size xx

Aw thanks hun, we are grateful we have this one inside but yes I was disappointed other 6 embryos didn't make it from day 3 to day 5.

You just focus on your beautiful eggs growing. I was listening to Mindful IVF app and it really helped me to visualise my eggs.

Not everyone is into things like this but of you are I can totally recommend this free app. Here if you have any questions xx
