Loosing hope

Been for 3rd scan today as wasnt responding to meds well still not much change wednesday will be final decision whether to go through with egg collection or not after seeing my figures im not hopeful 😔😢

Sorry to hear this cycle isn’t going to plan. Just wanted to tell you about my friend whose first cycle was ended without egg collection but on her second cycle she responded really well to the meds and became pregnant. She then had a second child from one of the frozen embryos. Just wanted to give you hope that even if this cycle doesn’t work out, the next one could be very different.

Hi,

I know how awful and gutting this feels. I had my first cycle cancelled and converted to iui after I didn't respond to long protocol , high dose of menopur. I'd already had a failed iui and the second failed also.

I then started short protocol with letrozole and menopur, start of May again no response. Just 5 follicles on my right this time but one big one very early on. They wanted to cancel again, I just couldn't, I have low amh. Anyway I had egg collection yesterday and they got my one egg out.

I'm waiting for the phone call today, I'm not hopeful but I tried. I fortunately have paid for 3 goes upfront but obviously the cost of drugs is also crippling.

I had to try , cancelled cycles were soul destroying. They've said next time if this one doesn't work il be back on long but I respond so slowly they will have to give be longer to work. I'm fairly new to all this but I've learnt its massive, expensive trial and error.

It was bad news they've lost the egg due to icsi. But keep going, I'm just going to keep going. Il get to transfer next time so can you Xx
