I am now 5dp5dt and have a constant dull period type pain. For the last 2-3 days I have had the same on and off, but it's much more constant this morning and kept waking me in the night. It feels exactly like period pains so I'm struggling to think it's anything but that. Really disheartened and thinking the worst. How do I snap out of this and think more positively? Xx

Loosing hope 😢
Hello
Its very hard. The symptoms are all the same and our minds and bodies play tricks on us the whole time. Try to do something that you really like today. Something that might take your mind off things.
It is only natural to feel twinges and period like pains. We have had so much disturbance in that area and also, with pregnancy the body is going through changes just as it does for period.
Hold on in there, you are at the natural dip in the midst of the 2ww. You can do this! Listen to some whitney, sing at the top of your voice, go somewhere nice for lunch, watch some comedy, eat some chocolate... you also don't have to do any of these things as these are things that I would do - you might like gardening, baking, shopping, making something, walking, reading a whole book, watching a box set season in ons day - whatever it is that you like to do go do it.
You got this!!!!!
Here's a huge hug to help xxxx
Thanks hunny, this journey is so hard! My OH was meant to be mountain biking with friends but has cancelled as he saw how upset I was. We are going to go for a nice walk and make the most of the autumn I hope 🍁🍁🍃 thanks for the positively. I think chocolate is in order today too!!! Hope you're doing okay xx
That sounds really nice. I am so glad your oh has done that for you.
I should warn you that another delight just around the corner which will confuse and worry you even more is that you will have an increase in discharge down there. Just What you need. I have been using pads rather than panty liners just for extra comfort.
As you know I was having right wobbles at your stage too. I found having acupuncture really calmed me down, and also I love kineseology as my body tells the therapist what I need and she sorts it all out.
Hope you have a lovely day xxx
Hi im sorry to hear of your pain. As long as you are not bleeding heavily with pain, this is ok. As far as what i have read and from what people on here have said. I felt like that most of the time during my 2WW -i was told its cos ive had the procedure as well as the cyclogest pessaries. Try and stay positive🙂 If you have any concerns or the pains get any worse, call your clinic. Fingers crossed for you. Hopefully you will get your BFP ❤🤞👍
I don't have any advice but wanted to say I felt exactly like this but got a BFP. I know it's really hard, I was convinced my cycle had failed & was even planning how we would do another cycle during my 2ww. Wishing you lots of luck xx
Thank you so much xx
Period pains (af type cramping) have been a really good sign for me that the transfer has worked! On my last bfp the day before otd I was 100% convinced I was getting my period. I was in tears most of the day. I was wrong. On my bfns they all have one thing in common; no af type cramping. Keep a little hope.. xx
Thank you. I think I'm worrying because I have had cramping in my previous 3 failed cycles so am thinking this is going the same way x
Our first round, I had horrendous period like pains, which I also put down to it not working and the medication aggravating my endo, but we got a BFP. Sadly it was not meant to be that time as had a miscarriage x
I noted down every symptom by day in my last round... just looked at my notes and I felt like my period was on its way (I was convinced it was!) from 8 to 12 DPO (equivalent to 3dp5dt to 7dp5dt). I’m now just over 33 weeks pregnant 😊, so I think what I was feeling was the little embryo burrowing deeper and my uterus adapting.
So i think this may actually be a very good sign. Timing is exactly the same.
Try to stay positive and best of luck for OTD xx
Hi Hope4usall,
I hope you’re OK. I can totally empathise with you right now. I too am pretty much day for day where you are and am in the middle of the wait. In the last few days I’ve started to let the negative thoughts in and it’s doing my head in. Thinking about any possible twinges, period pains, overthinking absolutely every single thing!
The other ladies comments and suggestions are right we need to concentrate on other things as much as we can. I’ve decided we’re heading out for the day today for a long walk with our little puppy (we’ll have to carry her most of the way ha ha!) and have a hot chocolate and potter around some shops and then home so I can cook us a lovely Sunday dinner. Then...it’ll be the end of another day pretty much! I know it sounds like we’re living our lives away but...needs must!!!
Anyway sorry I’m waffling now and I’m sorry I’ve probably not made you feel any better at all but I suppose I just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone in this xxx 💕
I know exactly where you're coming from and you have made me feel a bit better. You find yourself wishing the days away! It's nice to have another person going through the journey with you at a similar stage. You've also prompted me to do a Sunday roast later!! I'm sure my OH would be thanking you for that! Xx
Hey, your dull period type pains could be the implantation so try not to worry. I had quite a bit of cramping after my fet transfer earliee tgis month, on days 5+ and it was a positive for me. So hang on in there, good luck xx
Hi Hope4usall.
2WW is awful ☹️
I had what I thought was period cramping 3 days before my period was due ( 12 days post Lh surge) I was certain it was my period coming. It was implantation cramps! I’m now 9 weeks pregnant.
Cramping isn’t always a bad thing.
Really hope it was implantation & you get your BFP xoxo 😘
Me too! Congratulations on your pregnancy! Hope it goes well for you. I hope the cramping is a positive thing for me too xx
Really hoping this is just implantation cramps! I've never had cramping before and always got a bfn so fingers crossed it's a good sign!xx
I had these and the day before my test day I spent it crying as I had awful pre period cramps and pains
To my shock on OTD it was positive and his now 7 months old, I know it’s hard but try think positive, have a read of my post before my test day, wishing you lots of luck and hope you get your BFP xxx
Aw thank you, I'll have a read of your posts. Congratulations on your little boy! Xx
This could all be implantation cramping. There are lots of weird aches and pains going on early on.
Still hopeful for you. x
I’m glad you posted this. I’m at the same stage as you and having a low moment... feeling the dull feeling like af is on the way - reading all these comments have given me some hope.
Also wanted you to know you’re not alone, we can hold hands and skip through this dreaded 2ww together... or maybe not skip due to dislodging emby 🤣🤣
Please keep us posted, wishing for some positive news for the both of us xx
Aw thanks for messaging... Your skipping comment made me laugh! I've had a bit of a cold and actually asked my OH if sneezing might dislodge embie!?! I mean seriously?!? We're intelligent women but this process makes us go nuts!!😂😂
I've had more dull AF type pains on and off today and quite constant again this morning. I'm hoping it's all positive... Nothing else we can do. When is your OTD?xx
Hope your ok
I’m having exactly the same I’ve run to the toilet a few times tonight thinking I have my period I hate it 😭😭 roll on Friday test day and hopefully no period before. Good luck to u too x
It's horrible isn't it! We have the same test day . Good luck xx
