1st ivf cycle failed

So had a BFN on our 1st ivf cycle with the NHS, had 6 eggs collected and only 2 fertilised with ICSI carn't understand what went wrong as they eggs where graded at 4 guess my body wasn't ready to be pregnant, absolutely devastated had such high hopes as now we will have to find the money if we decide to try again 😭😭

I really feel for you. I had my collection Monday, 16 collected 9 mature 6 injected 3 fertilised. Painstaking wait until Friday. I have the same worry about paying for cycles. Have you had a look at the options abroad, a few of the girls in here have done that. If your more comfy with the UK there are refund, multi cycle and u. Limited packages at a cost, but again its the affordability. Xx

Sorry to read this. I too have just had a negative cycle but also very blessed my first cycle worked. I wasn’t entitled to a nhs cycle first time round so I did egg donation. One to help another couple and a lady to have the chance of becoming a mum like I so wanted and also to help us with the cost. Please message me if you have any more questions xx

Sorry to hear this- you always have such high expectations on the 1st cycle that it will solve everything, and it so rarely does. Sometimes it just take a bit longer to work out what your body responds to. On the positive side- 6 eggs is great! and 2 fertilised is a third of those, which is a lot better than nothing. I strongly recommend taking a little break if you do decide to go again- just give yourself a bit of time to recover. Hang on in there and good luck! (BTW- it took me 7 cycles.......:))

I have been where you are, it's heartbreaking, you did nothing wrong it just wasn't Ur time. Don't beat yourself up, don't over analyse it. It's just not ur fault. Once those embryos are in there there ain't nothing anyone can do my love. Can't you get ur free shots on the NHS xx
