Spotting in first trimester-IVF

I had undergone IVF and got positive beta HCG...then I had another 2 blood test that showed a good progress. Last blood test was on 22 April and beta HCG level was 9000. Asked to do first ultrasound on 30th April

However since yesterday I had some spotting and I am really worried. Whenever I insert a finger I see some blood it does not come on panty or does not show up when I go to the washroom. I did visit the doctor and they gave me duphaston and tropic.

Just wanted to know if anybody experienced the thing and got to have good ultrasound.

Hi Trisha. Try not to worry, unless it becomes bright red and fills a pad. Probably just a bit of irritation. If you notice any smell then it could be a slight infection. Just rest when you can, and hopefully all will soon settle back down.

Thank you Diane, it was red yesterday but I was lying on the bed most of the time...also it wasn’t very heavy.

I am very nervous until I get the ultrasound done, which is scheduled for 30th.

Hi. Any leakage does tend to collect when lying down. It then is more scary when you stand up and leaks out. That happens so try not to worry ( stupid thing to say)! Not too long to wait for the scan. Thinking of you. Diane
