My first IVF

I'm very disappointed after all those injections ,stress, mood swings , blood tests , sonogram, bloating , crinone I had my period this morning November 28 .

November 21 they transfer tow good embryo's .

I was shocked because I didn't know that I can have my period while I'm using Crinone or before the test December 3 .

I called the nurse today , I'm going to do HCG QUANTITATIVE tomorrow morning instead of December 3 and she said I have to keep taking crinone .

I don't know why I have to do the test, it's my period .

ANYONE HAD SIMILAIRE SITUATION or have knowledge about IVF ??

THANK YOU

Oh bless you lovely! I think the reason why they want to do the test is just to make sure 100% that the bleed you are experiencing is your period. If your bleed is lighter than usual or different, it could be implantation bleeding. Wait and see what the test says before you give up completely xx

Good morning , the bleeding is heavy but I'm going for a test anyway .

I will let you know .

Thank you .

Sending you a big hug. The same thing happened to me last time round. I was certain it was my period and everyone just kept saying wait for another week to test and see. I found it so frustrating because everyone around me was trying to remain positive and I was trying to deal with a heavy period I really didn't want to see! It's not easy so give yourself space and time. X x

Unfortunately sometimes women still bleed before otd despite the meds that are supposed to keep af at bay. If that’s the case here then I’m sorry to read it. The test is just to make sure xx

Good morning , the doctors they didn't explain that to me or maybe because I didn't ask .

Tank you

I’m sorry to hear this. I know how disappointing this is after all that you’ve put into this cycle to make it work. Is the bleeding you’re experiencing heavy? The nurse will want you to continue your medication until you test to make sure this is definitely your period xx

Good morning , the bleeding is heavy and after the transfer I didn't get spots from the implantation because maybe I never had implantation .

Thank you

I’m sorry. I also had heavy bleeding before OTD for most of my cycles. It’s heart breaking. Be gentle with yourself xx

I am so very sorry 😢. I too was told I won’t be getting my period too due to progesterone injections and crinone.

Good morning , when I saw the blood I thought I had miscarriage lol witch is too early because I didn't expect to have my period while I'm using crinone .

Thank you

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out this time :( Did you manage to get some frozen embryos to try again? Maybe talk to them about upping/changing progesterone support next time round?

My Dr really stressed to me that I had to keep taking the medication no matter what, cramping, bleeding whatever until test day. I think it's possible to bleed quite a lot and still have a positive so that's why they tell you that. It must be frustrating when you're sure it's your period and you're fed up of the process but humour them - what harm can it do?

It is a disappointment and allow yourself to feel sad or even angry but hopefully your clinic will have some ideas to try things differently next time and that will work for you.

All the best hon. Keep your chin up xxx

I'm going to change the Dr they was 2 I didn't feel confortable every time Dr but I guess this is how they do here but first I'm going to give my self some time .

Thank you .

I think it's good for you to take a break, have a few drinks over Christmas and pamper yourself.

It's important to have confidence in your Dr so if it's possible to change for next time, or even change clinics, that's probably a good idea. We have so much invested in this process we need to feel we're getting 100% support from the professionals.

Best of luck and I hope 2019 is your year xxx

I got my period during the two week wait on both my first two rounds of ivf. But I got pregnant on my third round. Keep the faith.

I switched to as much organic as I could and also took ubiquinol to help my egg quality, and pregnacare max.

I also tried to reduce my exposure to chemicals in toiletries such as parabens.
