It’s 6am: operation to remove Fallopian tube today!

It’s 6am and I haven’t slept properly in days. I have my Fallopian tube removed today. Lesson to self: don’t Google the operation!

Part of me feels like the surgeon is ripping out half my fertility. Even though I know it is not true and just another step in a long process.

I have to think differently: they are removing a defunct part of my body so I can create a better home for my little embryo.

Wow. This process is one big test on strength and courage. Must succeed. Must succeed. Must not fear.

💪🏼

Xx

Thanks so much. Can’t wait for it to be over! Just 2.5 more hours! XX

Good luck!! plenty of time for sleep in recovery . The op will be over in a flash!

I was going in for a suspected hyrdosalphinx and tube removal and when I came round from the anasethic all I cared about was the pattern on my husband's t-shirt (it blew my mind apparently) and was insistant that he told his best friend that I loved him...

Good luck!

Ha ha! Hilarious. I am ordering my partner to get a bright shirt now 😂😂

Thank you xxxx

When I was in recovery the anesthesitist came in to check how it all was for me and apparently in a very dramatic fashion slurring my words I said oh it was appalling to her and then complained to my husband about the art on the wall. I think I'm a bit sensitive to drugs... Good luck xx

Sounds like you had a great time!!! Ha ha!! Is it painful afterwards? Xx

I actually ended up not have the tube out ... It was a misdiagnosis, or a miraculous healing! But from the lap I was in bed for a few days and at home for a week. Minimal activity in week 2. Not painful really just uncomfortable and very odd as your core muscles seem to have a little holiday so I for the first few days, it was a struggle to sit up /get up/down/put pants on :-) etc.

Definitely better out than in that pesky tube of yours but I understand the anxiety, I was having panic attacks the weeks leading up to mine about the things you said. Well done for being so brave XXX
