Heavy periods!

Hi all, just about to start second IVF cycle. I started my period on the 27 March and it was awful! Sorry if this is TMI but It was dark red and clotty. I had to use towels and tampons and change within 15 min! This went on for 4 days. I am currently on Microgynon. I am just worried to start the next cycle - I have a history of polops forming. And halting my treatment. Any thoughts? I am seeing the clinic on Friday to just go through final paper work. Should I ask for a scan? Should I mention it? I will certainly ask for my thyroid to be checked. It was all within range in Feb but things change!!! Let me know what you ladies think. Thank you

Hello, I would mention it to your Doctor as you want to be in the best place for the cycle to work and might relieve you a bit if they do an extra scan. My fertility masseuse (I know it’s a bit odd) mentioned that dark clotting blood at the start of your period can just be blood left over from a previous cycle that didn’t discharge at the time so it could be that (although she isn’t a doctor). I hope they support you at the clinic. It’s normal to be worried at this stage.
