I'm really panicking. Did my 3rd injection of buserelin tonight and forgot to pinch the skin before injecting and now I'm really worried that it didnt go subcutaneously and that this may affect the absorption. I'm not sure what I did yesterday, although i know i definitely did it day 1.
Does anyone have any advice. I'm really worried I've messed up already!
Thanks.

Hi, no need to worry. The needles they give you will be for subcutaneous injection. So the size of them will always ensure it’s subcut. Needles for intramuscular are longer. Pinching the skin can just be less painful when injecting and makes it easier. Good luck for your cycle x
They told me that pinching the skin makes it less painful, something to do with nerve endings. Nothing to do with how effective it makes the meds. Do not worry! Although you are a braver lady than I am, injecting without pinching! 😂 All the best xx
Pinching the skin can just make it feel less painful. It will not effect how the medication works.
I don’t pinch the skin personally. I have always just gone with the get it over and done technique. Pinching the skin made it feel like a big build up so I just go straight for it. I’m four cycles in and never had any problems.
