So today’s IUI blood results were negative (as I kind of expected). The odds were low and I feel surprisingly fine about it all as I was mentally prepared for it, no tears at all. Plus I’m going on a lovely holiday tomorrow morning and so a few cocktails will cheer me up.
I’m not going to do another IUI as I think it could all quickly add up (especially with an extra £1000 for each vial of DS) so think IVF is our best bet.
Anyone tried the Multi-Cycles IVF option? What did you think? I don’t think I want the refund one but the idea of having 2 full cycles at a set price sounds good and I just wondered whether it is what it appears to be and does it have lots of hidden extras?? xx

Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you guys this time!😕 Enjoy your holiday honey, relax and kick back...just what is deserved after doing a cycle! I've seen some others do multicycle option and I looked into it but we didn't have an option nearby hence thought we would holiday & IVF at the same time! Really hope you enjoy your time away!!🍸🍹xx
I think going forward with IVF is a great decision. It is soo important to move on. I am glad that you are going on a break. That really helped us as well. I haven't opted for multi-IVF, therefore, can't say anything on that. The prices differ from clinic to clinic so research carefully. Visit a doctor that is experienced. Sending baby dust your way.
So sorry that the IUI didnt work. Im not sure on the multi cycles. But just wanted to say I'm thinking about you. Try and have a lovely holiday and enjoy the cocktails. No doubt well needed and definitely deserved xx
Just realised I had been rude and didn’t reply. Surprisingly I have been absolutely fine with the negative result, my expectations were low and I knew it was a long shot. The holiday has definitely helped, as has the sangria and cocktails.
We are using access fertility which has a multi cycle option. It’s hard finding the right package or if you’re me you worry about spending more than necessary or should I have just gone direct but unfortunately that’s the risk you take with any of this. You never know if it’s going to take 1,3 or 5 cycles, it’s a gamble.
Pick a clinic first and see if they do it, the process is then straight forward, they do assess you and tell you what plans they will be happy to offer you.
I’m leaning towards the two cycle, no refund one. Is that the one you are on?
My current clinic do it and so there won’t be any upheaval there. I know I don’t want the refund one, it’s like I’d be thinking it wouldn’t work in advance so not too interested xx
We’ve got the 3 cycle refund. We weren’t bothered about getting the money either but we worked out the refund amount would give us the chance to have another try direct with the clinic if we needed it.
Ah that is a good point about using the refund for another try! I’ll decide in the next few days I think, I need to get my AMH tested again and I’m expecting a big drop from the 29 I got 2 years ago so time isn’t my friend 😩 x
You've done a lovely job in handling it. This is the best way to deal with it. I'm sorry to hear about the news. You seem to be very emotionally stable and clear about what you want. That's very impressive, to be honest. Best of luck to you, honey! Lots of baby dust and love, may it happen soon.
Really sorry to hear about your attempt. Must have been tough to take. You've taken it really well, though! It's great to see that. It's even better to see that you know exactly what you want to do next. IVF sounds like a great option! I really hope it works out for you!
So sorry to hear about your failed attempt. This is such a surprising post, though. Most women, including myself, are a mess. You're really strong and courageous. It's great to see you have it all planned out. Best of luck to you! I really hope IVF is the way for you.
