Natural FET Query

I’m undergoing an FET in April, just had my progesterone tests done to prove I’m ovulating.

I’m sure I’ve asked along these lines before but how many times will I need off work and what for?

Can I book in advance?

Also, did you tell work and if not what excuse did you use for time off?

I told work last time but it was awful when it ended in mc because everyone knew.

This time I don’t want anyone knowing.

Hi Ajj123,

So sorry to hear about your mc. I completely understand not wanting anyone to know- for my natural cycle I was to have a scan on day 1 and day 10 and then prob transfer day 15 as we have day 5 blasts in the freezer. I then had 2 weeks booked off from day 15

Sadly my lining didn’t thicken enough so it was cancelled and I’m having the time off anyway!

Thanks for your reply. I have emailed them hopefully they’ll give me a good indication of timing etc.

Apparently it depends on the clinic. In my case I just had to go in for bloods every second days in order to detect the surge. I ended up having 4, the first one on day 8 of my period. When they detected the surged they told me when to go in for transfer and that was it. No scans at any point. I have just tested postive earlier this week

Congratulations on your bfp.

They replied this afternoon - gave me the impression it’s just transfer I’ll need off. I’d have thought I’d need a scan to check lining but maybe they think I’m safe- no idea.

Almost sounds too easy? xx

Yes, it did sound too easy to me as well. I thought they would check lining beforehand, but they never did. I was told that my surge was a really good number though, so maybe that's got something to do with it. I actually don't know.

I was also curious as to what would happen to the egg that would come naturally after ovulation, but apparently that just gets absorbed. So no meds needed at all.
