I’m in a slight dilemma after my consultation appointment following the recent failed cycle! So I’ve got 2 embryos frozen from the same patch and hence I’ve tried modified natural and medicated frozen transfers with no luck, I’m keen to go for a fully natural cycle which my consultant was happy with. However, I’m now in the dilemma of not being able to time things around my work obviously and also not sure if I can just go for it with my next cycle immediately following my ‘withdrawal bleed’? I’ve been taking ovulation tests this cycle to see if I will ovulate, day 14 and still nothing..... I would appreciate any advice? Is waiting longer better for the results overall or it doesn’t matter? I will have to take days off sick to do it cz my work wants 8 weeks notice for leave 🙈 plus last time I told my previous employer I was going through ivf, things got very complicated and ended on a bad note, so I really don’t want to disclose anything if I can help it! Any advice would be much appreciated xx
My cycle was always a bit longer after a failed cycle....I think mine were pushed to around 32 days and ovulation was around day 18. However it is hard to gauge as we are all different and I had one cycle that went AWOL after one of my failures. It may be best if you want to do a natural cycle to allow yourself a couple of AF's so you can gauge your cycle length especially as you have to give so much notice for leave. I dont think the leaving more time necessarily helps with success, more to do with your cycles.xx
Thank you for your reply Diane. I’m not the best when it comes to patience unfortunately. The consultant said as it’s a frozen cycle, we don’t need your ovary to recover, it’s just the lining which gets renewed with each period..... but obviously I can see where u coming from too. I will just wait and see how this cycle pans out
