Thyroxine/ Late Period Advice

Evening ladies. Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.

I have been on thyroxine for 5 weeks tomorrow and everything has been fine, I’ve been taking them along with iron tablets 2x a day. I seem to feel better in myself.

However this should be my first period since taking the medication, I am now 2 days late and I’m worrying as I am normally regular, I have a period every month without doubt. Ive had a headache for the past few days, and period like cramps but nothing... I’ve taken a test which come back negative. Is this normal has anyone else taking this medication experienced anything similar?

Did you take another test?

Have you been advised to take iron twice a day? I am also on Levothyroxine but I was o my advised to take vitamin D and folate x

Hi,

I’ve taken another test which was negative. Last night I noticed a streak of very light blood when I wipe sorry for tmi!! Which went and then this morning, was very light spotting throughout the day stop and start, no period cramping. Maybe this is the start of my period?? I’m not sure!

Yes doctor advised 2x per day.

How do you take your thyroxine and vit D? Xx
