Period finally came - week late

Hi lovelies. I had a really difficult week (mentally). Not needing any specific support today, but my period came yesterday, finally! I was expecting it the previous Sunday. This is clearly messed up because of the IVF drugs (it's the cycle after a fresh round), and I now feel happier because it means my cycle is back and we can try again naturally this month. Just wanted to reassure people waiting on a period after a round of IVF that they can come back and just be late (super annoyingly).

Mine has just come a week early! So don't be surprised if things stay a bit confused for a few more months (this is my 2nd after fresh cycle in march) xx

Hi ttcemmie, I know how you feel, mine was also a week late and showed yesterday after a mmc. I had secretly hoped... I'm usually on time or early, I know the miscarriage can alter them but I hoped....

Glad yours has shown up too! But you're right, the hope of being pregnant was obviously there. At least I'm not stuck in limbo now wondering whats up (I did take a test and got bfn). Good luck to you too!

Oh the stuff we do to our bodies! Same here all over the place. Mine went the other way. New round new chances hey x keep an eye on your ovulation though as i think thats all over the place as well xxx

I’ve just renewed my OvuSense sensor so fingers crossed. Also just ordered opk strips ... not used them before but I’m trying everything now🤞🏻😊xx

Glad it's finally arrived! Mine came this morning too, day 45 of a normally 33 day cycle! Obviously things have just been messed up a bit for both of us.

I'm going to contact my clinic today as they are trying long protocol this time and that means I would need to start on day 21 of my cycle. I wonder if they will be able to get this ready in time? I'm going to ring and see anyway.

Semi-glad yours has come too as this has been a really tumultuous time for you, although obviously crap that it wasn't a better outcome. Best wishes for your next cycle. Seems to be very clinic-by-clinic as to what they are doing when it comes to reopening and getting people on plans. x

Thanks 😊 I feel more relief than anything else really because at least everything is back on track now. I spoke to my clinic and they said that if they are allowed to open next week then the nurse will ring and we can have our consultation over skype. Shouldn't need bloods doing again. So fingers crossed it happens in time as doing long protocol this time so need to start in 3 weeks or till be 7 weeks! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yeah, they have their phones turned off (for the past few weeks now). I've emailed. Waiting to hear back.

That's really frustrating that they haven't been responding to calls. I'm sure they will have a plan in place. The waiting is so hard though. My period pain is awful today too. Not good! I'm expecting this period to be a difficult one!
