Fluid before FET??

I’ve been for my lining scan today for FET and all is ok for transfer except during the scan she noticed some fluid. She said many people experience fluid in the endometrium. I also had fluid last year during my fresh cycle and it had gone by EC. I have a repeat scan on Tue to check for the fluid and then all being well depending on the scan, transfer will be the following day. Has anyone ever experienced this? What will happen if the fluid is still there Tuesday? Thanks

I continually had fluid last year and unfortunately ended up having my FET abandoned 4x. I ended up having 2 hysterocopys and a polyp removed which then sorted the fluid problem. I really hope the fluid has absorbed by Tuesday but if not they may cancel your cycle as fluid can affect the embryo sticking x

I expected someone to say this :(

I’m currently fundaded, do you know if this cycle gets cancelled whether that counts as one funded cycle even though I’ve not made it to transfer? X

I guess it would depend on the clinic but with mine it didn’t count until I had the transfer. Is it a medicated or natural FET? X

It’s medicated. X

The progesterone might help clear the fluid, mine were natural FETs but before they found the polyp they considered changing to medicated so I could start progesterone on the build up to transfer x

I’m also in the same boat, I had my scan on Monday and it showed I had fluid too. My follow up scan is tomorrow and I’m hoping it’s gone as I don’t want it to delay my treatment. Hope your scan goes well.

I still have fluid unfortunately, although it has shrunk. The consultant is now referring me for a hysteroscopy. I’m hoping to continue with my IVF cycle as I start the pills on Friday and will try to get my scan within the pill stage before I progress to the injections.

I’ve been told that they won’t transfer the embryo if you have any fluid in the uterus as it can create a hostile environment.

I hope your scan goes well, do tell me how you get on. Fingers crossed for you x

Hello. I didn’t do anything, went back a few days later and the fluid had gone so my cycle didn’t get canceled. I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant. Best of luck to you. X
