When will period return? 🤷‍♀️ 🙃

Hi all.

Hope all is well.

Just wanted to ask how long should I expect it to be before my period returns after failed FET and stopping medication.

I was on prognova and progesterone?

I stopped taking medication on Friday morning, I know it’s not been very long but I’m just wondering what to expect. I’ve got uni on Mondays and Tuesdays so starting after then would be better for me as I’m expecting a heavy period.

Sorry it didn't work. Not exactly the same but my withdrawal bleed came within 2-3 daysm after I stopped meds after each two chemicals. I was on oestrogen and progesterone for the first and just progesterone for the second. It wasn't especially heavy the first time and not much worse than normal the second. I think the next natural period can sometimes be a bit delayed and it was for me after the first, but I ovulated and came on like clockwork after the second and I went straight into a FET x

Thank you for your reply. I’ve not had any sort of bleed yet 🤷‍♀️

I think mine might take slightly longer than 2/3 days. Although I wish it would come sooner xxx hope you’re well xxx

I think last time I had a failed attempt it took 3 months but I think that was because I had prostap first which is menopause

Sorry to hear your result. I had the same result last Sunday. First round for us, it was a fresh round and utterly devastating. My bleed only began on Friday eve, so a good 5 days later and it’s been horrendous but my periods are, so pretty normal for me. Good luck with your journey xx

Thanks so much! Mine are heavy normally too because I have endo. I’m not looking forward to it. 😢

Sorry for your result 😢. I was on the same medication, stopped it on the Thursday evening, negative test on the Friday and had a period on the Monday. I have endo too, my period actually wasn’t as bad as normal and didn’t last as long 🤞

Sorry about the bfn hun. We had the same last month. My period arrived quite quickly - after 3 days (even though I was on down regulation). I thought it’d taken longer so I was surprised. It also wasn’t heavier / more painful than normal so that was good as I have endo and adeno. Big hugs x

Hi, sorry to hear about your failed transfer. We got our negative result on Wednesday and I too was on progynova and progesterone. My period came on Saturday. Wishing you the best in whatever you try next xx

Mine arrived exactly on time while I was still taking progesterone. This happened on all three cycles I’ve done so far.

I got my period 4 days after stopping the medication and it was the most painful period of my life. Had to take pain medication so that I could even walk.

Hi Faith, sorry it did not work. I had my FET on October 3rd I started to bleed and my periods did not return till November 21st. It can take sometime due to all the medication we have to take xx
