Hello!
Has anyone gone straight back to work after a FET? I booked the 2ww off when we had our first round of IVF but can’t really do that this time, worried I might hamper our chance of success. Just wondering how long others have taken off? X

Hi both of my cycles so far have been fresh so not sure if rules are different but I went back to work the next day on both cycles and didn’t have any time off after transfer
Good luck! xx
I went straight back to work the day after my fresh transfer. I did get a BFP but unfortunately miscarried at 6 weeks. I really don't think it makes much difference what you do, unless you have a really physical job you should be fine to work. It's a great distraction from the 2WW stress! x
Thanks both of you, that has reassured me a bit. My job isn’t physical but can have it’s stressful moments xx
No need to take time off if your job is not too physical. After my recent FET I was getting back home with my hubby we have been in such a good mood I’ve forgotten about what has happened 2hrs earlier and as we wanted to catch a train being already on platform we had to run, yes I did it and you know what I’m 10wks pregnant 🤣
My doctors always were telling me to restore daily activities as before treatment and I’m strong believer in this.
Good luck xxx
My clinic said we have to not focus and obsess over ivf and we should carry on with out normal life. Im awaiting ec and date for transfer but I've taken two weeks off from tomorrow. My job is extremely stressful and every day is fullof problems and i can't really have even one day in peace so i thought better i stay away from it for a while. Xxx
FET's much easier on your body than fresh and you won't need time to recover like after EC. I think most people take the rest of the day off after transfer but apart from that, as your job's not physical, there's no need to take time off. It might even be better to have the distraction!! Best of luck with it xxx
Thank you x
I haven’t done IVF but carried on as normal ( except for heavy lifting) during the 2WW & got a positive test. I’m now 21 weeks pregnant. I do believe if it’s right there is little you can harm them, lots of women not trying will carry on as normal & baby will be fine! Having said that if you are likely to blame yourself ( if it didn’t work-not saying it wouldnt & it definitely wouldn’t be caused by that) then get a GP to sign you off. They can just state “gynaecological reasons “. You must do whatever feels right for you & only you know what that is. It’s such an important moment for you ( potentially life changing 😍) have no regrets.
I am wishing you the very best and truly hope it is successful 🤞🏻✨❤️ Good luck xoxo
Morning. After my fresh transfer I went back to work the next day. I have an almost 5 month baby girl now. I think you need to do what you feel is best. It's such a hard journey that you need to be kind to yourself. Wishing you lots of luck xx
I had the following day off to rest up then straight back to work. The hospital told me I could have easily gone straight back to work after anyway. It won’t make a difference. Just take it easy, no heavy lifting etc.
Good luck x
