Currently taking synarel after our modified natural cycle took a quick turn to a medicated cycle for reasons beyond our control.
I'm pretty exhausted in the evenings and my headaches are constant although more of a dull ache so manageable for now. I have had some really restless nights and some night sweats too but that seems to have improved in the last few days.
I am a teacher...I have 20 4/5 year olds to contend with each day. I love my job but it's a bit overwhelming at the moment. My FET is scheduled for the week beginning 17th March and I am planning to take the 2WW off after transfer. I was wondering though if anyone took time off before transfer and of so, how long?
I'm starting to think I could need a week or off to rest before transfer too as my class is very demanding but also battling with the guilt of not being there for thar very reason!
Thanks in advance!

Sometimes we must be selfish because it is needed. this is a difficult process to go through. if you feel that you need more time off, take it and try not to feel guilty, instead focus on the fact that you are doing what's right for yourself and your potential pregnancy <3 best of luck
i am a teacher and through three rounds i have taken no time off at all, even when each one failed. I hugely regret it and really advise you to put yourself first. No one else will, you have to. You need to do what you need. It is such a guilt ridden job and its just not fair. Please take the time that you need!
My first egg collection was at the end of the summer holidays. I had a fresh transfer on the Monday and was back at work on the Wednesday. I lost the pregnancy 3 weeks later and managed to be in school every day. I regret not taking that time to grieve and to recover. I also managed to only take 2 days for my second egg collection but had to receive the disappointing 5 day call about fertilisation and survival at school. Looking back, I was pretty broken! As I said, I'm planning on taking the 2 week wait but now considering taking the week before off also. Its so hard to know. When you have a tough class it makes it harder. I know what they need on a daily basis and I know who to watch out for when they're quiet and how to regulate the children who need it. It's so hard to leave that in the hands of someone else but I know I have to!
I hope you're managing your journey and coping with all of life's hurdles well!x
it’s the future of your life you are dealing with right now, you need to be selfish (even though you aren’t being selfish!) if this was a friend in your shoes what would you say to them? Take the time off if you need it and sending you lots of hope for success! X
I teach as well but one to one so not as demanding. I did a natural modified transfer with stims which also caused headaches due to fsh injections to thicken lining. I did have to take time off before transfer but only because I had to be in London and live in Plymouth so had to stay up there as it was demanding managing 6 hour drive there and back most days. The day after transfer I worked but I was teaching online science and 11+ tuition. I worked the rest of the week and my husband looked after our 4 year old son. I would do whatever is manageable. Do you have to do lifting in your job? If so, take 2 weeks off.
