Hi.

I have my planning/consent appointment with GCRM belfast on 31st as was only appointment available. Problem is if i dont have appointment before 28th of this month i cant start on this cycle. If i don't start on this cycle it means should i be lucky enough to have a pregnancy with this private go i will miss out on my chance to go back on list for my one free NHS cycle before my 39th birthday by one week. Grrr so frustrating. I keep calling clinic in case of any cancellations but no luck and they said cancellations are unlikely.I know this is a serious shot in the dark but was wondering if anyone on here has an appointment there coming up that they wouldn't mind swaping for my appointment on the 31st jan???

Hey! I’m not with GCRM Belfast, but I’m with GCRM Glasgow! We have a Facebook group for both - you should join & post there! May be useful. It’s called GCRM Glasgow/Belfast IVF/ICSI support group it’s a private group so you will have to request to join, no one on your Facebook can see the posts only in group xxx

Hi. Thanks for your reply. That's a great idea thanks so much. Not sure if GMRC will like me asking on there but worth a try. Have asked to join the group and just waiting. I'd never heard of the group though so just worried it's something they only tell you about after consent appointment and people who have appointments after starting the procedure can't really be flexible with appointment dates. Def worth a try though. Fingers crossed. My poor husband thinks im crazy and need to just "let it go" lol. He thinks i'm going into organisational overdrive and thinking too far ahead but (if the IVF goes well) i'd kick myself if missed out on free nhs go over the heads of a 3 day late appointment.

The group has been made by patients not staff, there’s no staff on it it’s a support group we all chat to each other on so don’t worry! Awk I think everyone’s husband thinks they’re crazy now and again, my partner says it all the time lol. You don’t want to miss out on a free shot so it’s worth a try for sure!! Good luck hope all goes well cxx

Oh they said start stuff on day 2 but really hope your right and i can still go ahead. Maybe i should call and hassle the receptionist again (think im her worst nightmare last few days) and see if she'll let me speak to one of the nurses. Thanks and thanks for the sugfestions and support. How are you getting on??
