Spotting

Morning everyone, had my 7 week scan yesterday and all is well. But the only thing is that i am spotting this morning. I have been spotting quite a few times last week also. Ive mentioned to the nurse everytime and shes not worried about it. She said aslong as i dont have any other symptoms then i should be k and only worry about thrush. I suffer from nausea which is getting worse everyday and thats the only way i feel reassured that everything is fine. Anyone else had this?

Its not uncommon to spot during pregnancy if it becomes more frequent of heavier I give to epu another ring they might want to rescan u again.

I'm going through something strange at the min Im bleeding pink a bit just when wiping keeps starting and stopping I was told I would be miscarrying again on friday now theyve found a possible viable yolk sac I just have to wait. The bleeding is a concern but as ive just had a scan yesterday and i had told them I had some on thurs too they werent that concerned. Just waiting it out.

Thanks for your reply. Im just going to wait aswell as its not heavy and only happens when i wipe. The scan yesterday showed baby’s heartbeat and everything else looks fine.

Hi Naz. Of course you are worried, but it happens all too often and is usually nothing to worry about. If you are still using pessaries, then maybe try using them in your back passage in case they may be causing some irritation. You may already be doing that, I don't know. A few spots or when you wipe is acceptable, but should it fill a pad and be bright red, then you need to see someone at the EPU. Also, if any discharge becomes smelly, you could have an infection. Hopefully it will soon settle down. Good luck! Diane

Hi Naz. I really don't think there is any cause for concern. I don't know if you know much about the placenta forming, but it grows from the chorionic villii in the womb, and this can sometimes cause spotting/light bleed as it changes over. Feeling sick is a good sign too, plus, I assume the scan went well?? Have a rest when you can, but remember when you stand, a few drops might leak out again. fingers crossed it should soon be over with. Diane
