Hi ladies. Where has this group been all my life?! It’s Absolutely brilliant! I’m 25 years old and about to go through my first round of ivf. Any other 25 year old women going through it also?
This is how i found out I would need IVF.
I was a normal girl growing up until puberty hit I didn’t start my period, very flat chested.
I thought it might be down to my mum being a late starter. Went to doctors at 16 years old and sent me for a scan right away. I had an ultrasound and went in to see doctor . They thought I had a condition called androgens syndrome. (No womb,no ovaries) . The doctor had put me on the contraceptive pill (oestrogen) to pump me full of the hormone until my appt with a gynae professor in London came through.
6 months later after taking the pill my appt came through, went up to London had a second scan and out of no where a WOMB had grown from nothing to something. This was one of the happiest days of my life. I have a condition called Swyers syndrome. XY female.
If there are any other women out there with this condition then say hello!
Science is a bloody incredible thing isn’t it! Wishing all my fellow ladies having ivf the best of luck.
Xxxxxx

Yes we have had short cycle icsi that resulted in 11 embryos but failed first cycle. Second frozen transfer also failed and I bled early on both cycles.
This is our third frozen cycle and we have transfer due on Thursday so hopefully third time lucky!
I'm 25 at the moment (26 next month) have been trying since I was 24 and I'm due to start icsi next year. Currently waiting for my thyroid levels to go down as there too high then I can start. Never wrote on here before been building myself up to but saw you are 25 too and thought I have to respond :). This place is amazing seeing other people's stories too feels less isolating. Our issues our male fertility issues. My husband had a varicocele embolization in May as his count was 2 million. Went down to 1 million after the op and just got 6 million for our frozen sample for icsi which is our best yet. Your story is amazing I wish you the best of luck xxxxxx
Welcome! Everyone on here is amazingly supportive. Just wanted to wish you all the very best with your first cycle. It's a very intense experience but it's amazing what science can help your body to achieve. Good luck x
I have never heard of that condition but amazing you can carry a baby after everything you've been through. I wish you lots of luck on your journey xxx
