So I had failed IVF cycle, a period, no sex in that next cycle, then my period was late. We were on holiday last week when I was due on and this morning took a test, AND THIS HAPPENED!!!!!

I’m sure ivf triggers natural pregnancies- I have two colleagues at work who this exact thing happened to. Also happened to my podiatrist and have seen it several times on here. I wish someone would research it! Congratulations!

Miracles do happen trust me. My baby was coming at 24 weeks. Was told to terminate. I refused and 6 weeks later after total hospital bestest I was induced. Now he is doing brill despite being 10 weeks early.

Hi, so basically the failed ivf was because you had a negative test and then a ‘normal’ period? I ask because basically I have just done a round of IVF and failed test on OTD and had a very heavy bleed but have had a positive test since and HCG rising. Can people really have periods and remain pregnant?? I’m so confused.
That is seemingly what happened, yes. But I didn’t know until 10days late for next period and just took a test out of interest as I’m never late and was just assuming I was because of IVF messing up your system.
Wow. You have given me so much hope. Sorry to be graphic but was the AF you had like normal period? Have you had an HCG blood yet? Or a scan? Do keep us posted. Wishing you all the very best xxx

Hi everyone, not quite the update I wanted to be posting.
There’s no pregnancy.
There may be a non viable pregnancy lurking, or small ectopic but they couldn’t see any obvious cause so have an urgent referral to hospital tomorrow 🙄

So sorry to read this after the initial excitement 
I really hope this is simple to be managed and you can carry on with your journey very soon. So sad this was not the amazing surprise we were all hoping for, but you'll get there. I had an awful 2017 including MCs but got my BFP this year after IVF. Make sure you allow some time to heal your mind and not just your body, all these emotions are terribly intense. All the best xxx
