Abandoned cycle

Hi ladies

I had my final scan today and unfortunately I still wasn't responding so the cycle has been stopped. We were prepared for this so although I'm hurting im not as bad as i could have been. I have tried to remember everything else I have I'm my life and now looking forward to enjoying some time out with my hubbie, friends and family.

I want to thank you all for answering all my ridiculous questions and until next time i wish u all the very best in your cycles.

So sorry to read this Ama4. I have been through this and it is so so frustrating, especially when there is nothing that the clinic can say. Hopefully they will arrange a debrief and recommendation of next steps soon. Big hugs xx

Thanks ladies i really appreciate your kind words. One thing for sure, im stonger than i thought, quite proud of myself at how i have dealt with all of this therefore i know i'll be ready to take on our next cycle with a bit of oomph xxx

Oh huni.. I can relate so well.. gutted to hear this. Last time we had to cancel the cycle but I somehow managed to produce 2 follies naturally and one got fertilised and transferred. It was a bfp though and we decided to take a break from all of it, hanging out with friends, having a proper dinner and a cocktail, riding my scooter, planning trips abroad and enjoying the simple life.

I felt somehow free and happy to do things that I like, to live, to smile - despite the sadness of a bfn..

Aw im sorry you have had a similar ride hun. I think the hard thing is all the waiting, it took us soo long to get started then its all over in under 2 weeks! grr!

We wont give up but really am looking forward to not having ivf hang over us for a while xx

Hi ama, I'm sorry to hear this. My cycle was cancelled too, due to a cyst and off kilter hormone levels, didn't even get to start stimulation. Annoying, frustrating after all the build up. I'm aiming for January for the next try. And in the meantime yes a break from thinking about it! Enjoying life a bit. Hugs to you xx

My first cycle was also abandoned just a few weeks ago. It is definitely hard to take, but as the others said try and enjoy this next little while before round 2💪🏼💕best of luck for when you start again xxx

I had a horrendous first cycle, getting the drugs correct for you can really impact your chances. I was very close to abandoning cycle. But it didn’t get abandoned and it really affected the egg quality and number of eggs were so poor.

I got there in the end, every woman is different, it’ll be a more positive experience next time round the doctors will now have more information to go on.. It’s just about finding out what works best for you.
