Hi, I’m after some advice please...
I’m on my second round of IVF, and due to have a fresh transfer on Wednesday.
My husband has been quietly worrying about the stress that IVF has placed in us the last year or so.
Whilst I feel I’ve been self absorbed, he started talking tonight that he feels a bit low, not depressed, just low.
How have your other halves done to deal with the rollercoaster that is IVF?

I am not really sure. It is hard to make him talk sometimes. He doesn't like to see what it does to me, feels like there is not much he can do (basically deposit sperm) and desperately wants to be the amazing dad he will be. I try to get him to talk but they are a different species. I would think if it is something your oh has brought up then it must be serious. Have you had or considered the counselling that is offered at the clinics? I find counselling so so helpful xxx
Hi, that’s really good that your husband has been able to talk to you. Men do get left out a bit in this process. Just before our 3rd cycle (which we’re in now) my husband suffered extreme anxiety and a type of mental health breakdown. We think it’s because he didn’t acknowledge his feelings after two failed cycles. He had CBT and is better now than he has ever been. It’s important to talk and would really recommend CBT or counselling for your OH as well as yourself. Together and separately are both beneficial xx
