Hi, my name is Jess and I have been ttc for 2 years. I have been fully tested including a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy and all is normally and healthy, apparently. Don't qualify for nhs IVF for another year so either have to pay or keep trying naturally. Been advised to try acupuncture, reflexology etc.. Basically been told to not stress which is pretty hard considering the situation! Looking for emotional support and hope to find it on here! Would be nice to talk to people going through the same thing.

Everyone on the forum is so nice. You've definitely come to the right place. Best of luck with your treatment when the time comes but in the mean time a healthy diet, pre-pregnancy vitamins and moderate exercise will help you feel like you're a bit in control and hopefully make you feel better about the wait. See this time as 'prep' time and then it won't feel wasted x

Hi and welcome 😊

I'm sure we can support you here. So many of us with different experiences and willing to share advice etc.

I've not tried acupuncture or reflexology but many ladies here have tried it and have found it helps them.

Good luck for when you do start treatment. Xxx

Sorry to hear of your struggles. Been there, it took us over 7 years to get there. It’s such a difficult journey. The hardest thing I’ve ever done.

Coming here for support will help, it made such a difference to me. It can feel like a lonely journey at times. Especially as others around us don’t understand what this journey is like 🤦🏽‍♀️😢

Don’t stress? Who said that 🤦🏽‍♀️ impossible.

Good to hear you have been throughly investigated & all is okay. Hope that is giving you reassurance? Hopefully it’s just a matter of time 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

It took us 5 years & 10 months of TTC to get a endometriosis diagnosis for us it was the cause of our infertility. We are now nearly 9 weeks pregnant a few surgeries for my endometriosis.

You can do this, keep trying & believing.✨✨✨

Lots of luck to you xoxo.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me, it really does give me hope that one day it will be my turn. How come it took so long for you to be diagnosed with endo, surely they would have put you through the same procedures as myself and discovered it sooner? I always assume everyone follows the same path that I have in the beginning but maybe not. I was sent for the hyster and lapa because when I had the dye test to check my tubes, the dye couldn't get through my uterus which suggested a blockage but during the procedures no blockage was found. I always worry that they missed something or got it wrong, that's probably natural tho. Its very easy to blame yourself and think something is wrong with you. I am relieved that I have been told all is normal but at the same time very frustrated, having unexplained infertility is like being told its all in your head. Apologies for waffling on, I hold all this in around friends and family as i think they are probably sick of hearing it and don't really understand. It's nice having somewhere to go to let it all out! x

Unfortunately it is not standard to rule/treat endometriosis which is ridiculous 🤦🏽‍♀️ your clinic is obviously one of the better ones.

Our first fertility doctor was very dismissive & could not be bothered to find the cause 🤦🏽‍♀️ it was easier for him to say “unexplained infertility “ & “ it’s IVF or trying & oh and we won’t fund it!” So we got discharged.

Fast forward tine & my period issues which he dismissed became considerably worse. So much so I was under several gynae 🤦🏽‍♀️ the last gynae suggestion was to a fertility clinic & I was against the idea because of how our first fertility doctor behaved 🤦🏽‍♀️ I begged not to go back to that guy, & he was shocked by how we were treated. Anyway he got me to see his colleague who was the leading fertility specialist there. And he took my issues seriously. First he tried clomid & on my 4th round I reacted badly. I had constant pelvic pain which my GP was disinterested in to say the least- he couldn’t get. To the bottom so couldn’t be arsed. The only medic that was doing anything was my fertility doctor, he was the one to suggest a laparoscopy even tho he thought the pain was bowels not gynae- unfortunately I had gynae & bowel symptoms so diagnosing endometriosis wasn’t easy! He was shocked it was endo but when it got worse after my loss he sent me to another gynae who found more endo & couldn’t treat it all due to the location ( bowel) my fertility doctor was shocked it had regrown so rapidly within a few months he sent me to a endometriosis specialist. And there I had to fight to get my surgery date- well my GP & fertility doctor thought on my behalf! The symptoms were worsening & it was urgent I needed surgery ASAP and got a date quickly after they got involved! Our fertility doctor has been our rock & has gone above and beyond for us. Even now he’s ordered I have consultant led care throughout my pregnancy 😘 it took us 5 years of trying to find him, but he was worth waiting for & made our dream a reality 😍 xoxo

It is a fight but you can win this never give up xoxo
