Hi everyone as you know my 6 week scan didn’t go well.

Hi today I am 6 weeks and they said that my hcg didn’t double but they ain’t dropped either... the sac was small also... they want me to go on for my 7 week scan to confirm. My question is has anyone had this happen to them? And things changed at 7 week scan? Have you managed to get pregnant after with a frozen transfer?

Hi Eram. God! This is a nightmare. It feels like your clinic aren't giving you all the information.... I think it's shocking you could be told you lost the baby and then actually, no, to wait a week and see. I am continuing to hold hope for you and wish you all the best in another stressful week to the 7 week scan. xxxxx

I don’t know what to believe i don’t know if it’s possible to see something at 7weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️ my numbers have not dropped just not have doubled and sac is small... xxxx

Did they see a fetal pole at all? Or anything in the sac? Its soo hard waiting.

There was a gestational sac and a yolk sac and that’s all

If youre exactly 6 weeks, it could be too early. Some have seen a heartbeat at 6wk 5 days for example as that’s closer to 7 weeks than 6.

I’d carry on taking any meds for the time being as this could still be a successful pregnancy 🙏🏼

I did have similar but my numbers were nowhere near as high as yours and there was definitely only a sac at close to 7 weeks but I do think yours sounds promising and I really hope it is 💕xxx

I had ivf my transfer was on 10th of feb and had positive test on 20th feb so I don’t know if it is late implantation 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just think It’s a few days too early to really see anything. You’re 6 weeks 1 day, things will hopefully be different in 4/5 more days.

When I was in this situation, it was a natural pregnancy and my dates were a bit out so it was really hard to tell whether it was too early or not especially as my levels hadn’t risen much either but obviously with ivf this is one of the things that is more certain so hopefully you will know more soon 😘 xxx

Oh Eram, what a bloody nightmare! So sorry you’re left in limbo! Lots of clinics don’t do the first scan until 7 weeks as it’s not always possible to see a heartbeat etc at 6 weeks but it doesn’t always mean you won’t later.

I hope there is someone on here who has a positive story that can bring you some comfort whilst you wait but either way, try to focus on the fact the numbers are rising right now so it’s not completely over xxx

I’m not an expert but I was told by my clinic that they don’t do a viability scan until 7 weeks because then you should definitely see a heartbeat if it’s a pregnancy that’s progressing. Hopefully that’s what you’ll see next week but there is no way of knowing. I can’t imagine how painful the next week will be for you waiting but I would hold onto some hope because your numbers are going up. I don’t want to get your hopes up but just wanted to send a ray of hope. Sending you lots of luck and hugs xxx

If you put in your hcg numbers you posted, which you said were done at 5+1 and 5+5? So 96 hours apart. Shows it as 60% increase which it lists as normal 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think it’s very early for them to say it’s all over - I have had something very similar happen and whilst it didn’t work out for me, when I googled it a load of people had good news in the next scan - your levels are rising and aren’t THAT low so surely could just be late implantation. It’s only 6 weeks after all and you often don’t have heartbeat until 6+5.. I wouldn’t give up yet - you haven’t lost your baby yet. Hugs

I also think it's very early for them to say it's all over and would also continue with the IVF meds if it was me. With our missed miscarriage, my HCG was rising but not doubling and they only ever saw empty sacs,nothing more,and the first scan was at 6w5d so almost 7 weeks. Really hope everything works out for you and things change around at your next scan, and we are all here to support you whatever the outcome. The limbo part is horrible but we are all here x x

6 weeks could be too soon to see the embryo, but I guess in this case it’s a combination of Hcg growth and scan. What are your numbers? If they are not growing well, like it happened to me, then it’s more concerning. But never say never! I think you will find out for sure next week, I know it will be an agonizing week for you and I’m very sorry for that. Nobody deserves to experience that. I hope you get good news next week! 🙏🏻😙

My numbers were 15900 from yesterday. Did you have a miscarriage? If so I’m so very sorry 😐

What about the previous? I had one at 6 weeks and it was 13500 and another one 48 hours later and it was 18600 or something, so clearly the growth was not good. Doctors said ‘Numbers are not always right’, but unfortunately my missed miscarriage was confirmed with the following 2 scans. I had a miscarriage at home at 11 weeks 💔

First of all I’m sooo sorry for your loss it’s horrible.

My hcg was 6178 at 5wks 1 day then 72 hours later it was 13672 then 48hrs later 15900 which I was 5 weeks and 5 days

I went in at 9w my hcg was 17500 in 4 days only increased to 23000 it was basically blighted odd shape sac and teeny yolk sac tho it took them a long tine to find it thought it was ectopic at first but wasn’t showing signs of ectopic. I had some bleeding started and stopped for weeks as we waited to see growth. 2w later no growth so we arranged a Mva as it was taking its time to naturally miscarry. This was my 3rd mmc. Hopefully it’s just too soon but hcg not rising doesn’t sound good I’m sorry x

Hi this did happen to me. Unfortunately it ended on a miscarriage. I was getting regular scans and blood tests to see if it increased. My HGC increased slowly but not enough and they saw the sac but no yolk.

I am really sorry that it wasn't a success story to share with you. It sounds like your getting regularly monitored. Will have everything crossed for you for your next scan etc xx

I remember with my first I had a scan at 5 weeks 6 days and there was the sac and yolk but no heartbeat- 10 days later there was a heartbeat. It could be too early to see a heartbeat. I remember worrying about everything. I know it’s easier said then done but try and relax and it’s a good thing your numbers aren’t dropping. Xxx

Definitely not that high I can’t really remember to be honest my little girl is now nearly 3! I know I did have problems with my hcg not rising. Check my posts from about 4 years ago xx thinking of you I know how hard it is xx
