Hi, I'm new on the forum. Joining as I'm feeling a bit low and alone. 3 pregnancy announcements this week have left me really hopeless. Trying to keep positive but can't quite manage it today.
Feeling isolated: Hi, I'm new on the... - Fertility Network UK
Feeling isolated
I know this feeling so well, pregnancy/new baby news remind us of everything we don't have and that hurts so much. Sending lots of love your way x
I know exactly how you’re feeling just had a baby born into the family, my sister in law has just announced she’s pregnant again. Finding it difficult myself trying to be happy and hide how I’m feeling seeing posts online doesn’t help either.
You’re definitely not alone feeling like this x
I know how you feel....sometimes it seems impossible to escape pregnant people or babies. Some of my friends have been great when sharing baby news and others have been totally insensitive/thoughtless which makes it harder. You're not on your own and I think it's totally normal to feel fed up and frustrated when the pregnancy announcements come in thick and fast. I told my husband I wanted to go and live in a cave the other day to escape everyone! xx
Oh lovely, I could have written your post a few days ago. I seem to have a pregnancy radar at the moment - they are everywhere!! Family announcements at every angle and pregnant ladies sneaking up on me on the train.. the key to it is to focus on you and your treatment and hopefully it will happen for you and all of us (although moving to a cave doesn’t sound like such a bad idea:)!!
Stay positive sweets xxx
Sending you love- I totally understand how it feels. Xxx xxx
Welcome to the forum, it's a great place to share and everyone here can empathise with your journey. You've done the right thing by reaching out and getting support, hopefully this group can help you to stay positive x
😔 I’m sorry you are feeling so low, it’s really tough hearing pregnancy news.
I had to avoid social media entirely in my lowest moments - it’s not that I wasn’t happy for my friends when they had their good news, but for some reason it hit me like a punch to the stomach every time. Best piece of advice anyone ever gave me, was to take my negative thoughts and flip them into positive ones, by saying to myself “that’ll be me soon”.
Sending you big hugs and positive vibes xxx
Hi there, I wrote a very similar post on Sat night, it can be very tough. I have made a decision to take some time away from my family until I feel strong enough again to be around my pregnant sis in law's.
Some days are harder that others, take care xx
You're so not alone, sending you huge hugs xxx
I'm also new to this forum and I'm the same - feeling low and alone. This is a hard and painful process for sure, feel free to message me if you want a proper chat.
As you can see from all the replies, there is a lot of support here - which is nice as in my 'real world', it isn't like that at all! I feel so alone as I have 14 nieces and nephews, and can't even spend time with my close family anymore as it is just too hard right now.
It can be so tough... there have been 7 babies born into our families since we started TTC 4 years ago. Its easy to think that everyone else just swans through it all but I know if you look closer everyone has their own issues - one couple in my partner’s family had to terminate a pregnancy due to the mother getting pregnancy-onset Leukaemia and needing urgent treatment (she went in to have 2 boys) and my brother and his wife had a miscarriage at 12 weeks.
Same here! Isn’t it reassuring to see so many responses? It just reminds you that you are not alone. It is completely normal to feel like this, because look- we all feel the same? If you can, take comfort and strength from that thought. Xxxx
Thank you for your kind replies. I'm doing better this week, and you all have definitely had something to do with that! Although of course wish there were fewer people that had to face these struggles, it's a great comfort to know I'm not alone, and my feelings are shared. Sending you each a big hug xxx
