Clexane and a clot

Hi all- does anyone have an experience of being on clexane and aspirin and it causing a small clot? On Sunday I had a sudden Sharp back pain and felt wet and after going to the toilet noticed a small streak of bright red blood on my liner and when I wiped I had a 1cm black clot with stringy bits attached (sorry tmi). There was no other red blood after that it just went back to dark brown spotting (old blood) and the sudden back pain disappeared as quickly as it came. The whole event was less than 5 minutes. I have had no other bright red blood since so I haven't panicked about it and i'm still having pregnancy symptoms. I went to see my acupuncturist last night and told her all about it- she specialises in fertility - she suggested it could be the clexane and told me to call the clinic as they should give me a reassurance scan and maybe review my medication. After speaking to them this morning they didn't seem at all worried and said if I was going to lose the pregnancy there would be nothing they could do and I should keep on with the clexane and wait and see how everything is at my 1st scan next week. I'm not too worried especially as my acupuncturist said I had a strong pregnancy pulse last night but just wanted to know any other experiences for those who had clexane/ clexane or aspirin or who passed clots in their pregnancies. Sorry for the long post and I wish you all baby dust wherever you are in your journey xx

Hi CC2018. I've not known Clexane to cause a clot to form. However, try not to worry, for if you were to lose your little one, I'm sure you would be passing a lot of bright red blood. Just rest when you can and look forward to your scan next week for reassurance. Thinking of you. Diane

My clinic told me to continue as they believe that's what helped the pregnancy. Just have to wait and see next week i suppose. Thank you. Hope you continue to have a happy and healthy pregnancy xx
