I’m so pleased, 8 embryos from 13 eggs is about 60% success of IVF which is the average prediction - hoping that’s a good sign.

Next step is US scan tomorrow to ensure over-stim settled down enough to proceed 💛🙏

Will have update tomorrow from embryologist about how the Embies are getting along - still feeling positive but obviously scared too. Does anyone know an stats on amount of embryos that you expect to proceed to blastocyst stage, or is that an unknown? Feeling lucky & thankful to have reached this point - I hope the good news continues.

I’m amazed by all the tiny steps along the way that you need to navigate through in the hope of that end result - the elusive BFP & that still doesn’t even equal the ultimate end point. Life really is a miracle. I’m feeling so humbled by everyone’s stories on here - such an amazing and strong group of ladies - you are all so inspiring. I’ve been feeling so alone and now feel I’ve finally found people who just ‘get it’. Thank you so much💛🙌

I had 14 eggs, 9 fertilised, 9 were fine on day 3, of those we got 4 good quality blastocysts frozen (the others were still growing on day 6 but weren't good enough to freeze) which, we were told by the embryologist was average. Good luck xx

Its a bit of a guessing game as to how many embryos make it to day 5, there are so many things that can affect embryo development and you need to expect a few not to make it. Out of my 3 cycles I only had 3 make it to blastocyst but I was older at 38. Good luck for the next update!xx

Thanks Cinderella5 - I’m 38 too - so am guessing this may be a factor in longevity - it’s taken me a long time to get here 😞 x
