Day 4 of Gonal F..lower back pain/twinges

Hi,

Does anyone else get lower back pain/twinges? I am on day 4. Odd twinges etc. Does anyone know if it’s a side effect of Gonal f? X

Hi Kirsty, I used Gonal F on my first two cycles and had lower back pain. I was on a dose of 450iu so quite a high dose. I think the pain/twinges are because your ovaries increase in size so much more than normal. I used a hot water bottle on my back a few times to ease the pain. Also had it after egg collection as ovaries take a few days/weeks to go back to 'normal' size. Hope it isn't too bad for you. Good luck with your treatment!!

Other than twinges/ back pain i didnt have many other side effects thankfully.

Starting cycle no. 5 in Oct! Had 2 standard short protocols and had 2 natural modified cycles all with ICSI. Is this your first cycle? X

Yes my first cycle. Can’t even begin to imagine the devastation I will feel if it does not work.
