I had two embryos transferred today and one of them got stuck inside the catheter. They checked it and it was looking fine and then they redid it. I asked them if this impacted the odds of success and they said it wouldn’t. However I have since Googled and read different things. Has anyone on here experienced this and what were your outcomes?

Embryo Retained in Catheter
Hi. Never had this happen before, perhaps it may lose a couple of cells. Which should catch up. Ask for a report fTom the embryologist as to its condition. Hope all turns out well. Thinking of you. Diane
This happened to me. Ended in bfn for me that round. However I had had a pregnancy before this transfer and they think my transfer window had changed not that it was anything to do with the embryo being stuck.
It was my last one so I was and am devastated as it was pgt tested and perfect but sometimes it is just luck and numbers not wishing that gets us there.
Hope yours stick. Keep us posted x
This happened to me and I got a BFP. They said it didn’t do any damage and happens occasionally. Best of luck x
This happened to me our 4aa embryo was still in catheter so they done the procedure again and we now currently have our 4 month old baby girl.
Xx
I had this, i did get get Bfp but later miscarried. It’s a good sign as it means the embryo is ‘sticky’ which is what you want.
Im glad I found this thread. I had my FET yesterday and this happened to my embryo. They said it was rare but sometimes happens but obviously my mind is going wild. Do you mind me asking if you ended up with your BFP?
Hello! I don’t mind you asking. I did get my BFP. It could be that Mr Sticky stuck! I don’t think it impacts things and wish you the very very best!!
Wonderful news. Congratulations! I wish you all the best. The embryologist did say it would be because it's extra sticky so that's what I'm holding onto, it's hard not to overthink when there are small hiccups like that.
Thanks for replying
