Hi

So I'm final scan before ec weds. 3rd ivf having had missed mc my 1st. This time we are trying icsi . Was unexplained infertility byt recent comet test shows sperm fragmentation. Has anyone else tried icsi for this reason? Wondering how it assists as we have always had good fertilisation rates it's by day 3 our embroyos not developed properly & not reached blastocyst day 5 only morula ( although 1st round must done after we transfered at day 5 to get 2 implant dispute mc). Also trying AOA calcium. Got everything crossed just hope haven't over stim & lost egg quality as some follicles were already at 14mm 3 days ago n got till weds for ec. Anyway any help appreciated

Hey Aqua, I haven’t for any advice for you but you sound like you have a similar situation to me. We have had several failed transfers and have recently found out my husband has fragmentation. Our fertilisation rates have been good too and we got 8 blasts to day 5 last time, 5 of which were top grade and frozen but so far none of them have implanted. The doctor still thinks it’s highly likely this could still be due to fragmentation. With the new information regarding my husbands results we are also doing ICSI this time. So I’m sorry I can’t help but just wanted you to know there is someone in a similar situation. Xx

Hi Hon, is he on a high anti oxidant diet? Are you taking any supps to prevent the fragmentation? This prep will really help and you’ll see success with implantation for sure xx

ICSI really helps with picking the best spent for reaching 5 day blasto’s! If you do ICSI trust me that will be brilliant for you. Be sure your hubby is all over a good high anti oxidant diet, this is key to the success of low frag xx

Hi Aqua 17, proxeed is also amazing, watercress daily and I used a nutritionist who really helped with DNA frag. Send me a PM and happy to share her details, much love and if anything I can do , I’d be more than happy to help you xxx
