It’s Twins

Hi everyone, I just want to think everyone again for the support. We did our ultrasound and we have twins, I’m happy and scared at the same time. I was on the progesterone oil shots, but they were irritating my skin, now I’m on the injection gel, will the gel still do what the shot does.

I turned 8 weeks today, is it common to be tired already, but my biggest issue is I’m not hungry, I feel full all the time. I make myself eat, but I can only eat once a day, plus I’m already showing. Should I be worried Help please.

Hi Scaredoutmymind. My goodness, you’re going to look like a space hopper! Scan looks good to me, with both “beans” looking well attached. The progesterone gel will do just fine, and yes, tiredness is usually on the cards early on in pregnancy. Your midwife will keep an eye on your iron levels too, so don’t worry. BIG HUG! Diane

Awww lovely. Can you chat to your midwife about your apetite?

My nutritionist told me to eat small bits often if I am not hungry or have nausea....not sure if any foods would give you an apetite.

Congratulations!! I know what you mean about feeling full all the time though, my partner has been experiencing the same bloated/full feeling. With regards to your appetite, I agree with eating small & often. & make sure you drink plenty in this heat! xx

Congratulations. For at least the first trimester my appetite went AWOL through a mixture of nausea, feeling bloated and already full. I just had to eat what I fancied in small amounts. Starting to be able to eat a tiny bit more now although still no proper appetite. Definitely drinks lots of water. Take care.xx

Cardially congratulate you! I'm sure there is nothing to worry about you eat this very pattern now. I guess this is the way your body gets used to its new role I think it will change soon, give yourself time. Nothing comes close to the feeling of nurturing a life inside your body. It has never been aptly described in words and it never will be. Experiencing is the only way to find out. Congratulations for getting yours!!

Congrats..double blessing..whoo hoo. This will pass. Making babies is tiring work Esp first trimester. it will get easier. Try n rest sleep lots drink lots water n eat small nutritious meals often. 😊

Hiya I just gave birth to healthy IVF twins 2 weeks ago! It was my second pregnancy and at 8 weeks I was finding it difficult to keep the pregnancy a secret I was showing very early. I can also relate to not feeling hungry early on and tired. In fact instead of morning sickness I felt more like I’d been run over by a truck and had to nap most days.
