Spotting 6weeks pregnant

Hi everyone, I’ve started spotting and I’m 6 weeks pregnant. I phoned the clinic and they want scan me tomorrow. The clinic said there is no point increasing the progesterone. Anyone spotted (gradually got worse during the day) at 6weeks and had success? Thanks xx

Hi Penny the same happened to me. I started spotting for a few days and then it turned bright ready following a short walk but my clinic doubled my progesterone and put me on bedrest until bleeding stopped which it did in a day and now almost 16 weeks pregnant 🙏🏼. I came home from work and have rested. My clinic said dont increase progesterone. I’m on 800mg pessaries already. Did your scans go ok afterwards? I’m preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. This is the worst roller coaster ride ever xx

I pray it goes well Penny. I amended my answer, see above. Scan went really well. Some clinics give 3x 400 Cyclogest a day. Glad you’re resting. Just take it easy and I pray scan goes well xxx

Really hope it goes well. I have seen lots of people have some bleeding and go on to have successful pregnancies x

I had a horrific bead at 6 weeks and all is fine. Now 13 weeks pregnant. I have a blood clot that caused the bleed. It’s still there but not had a bleed since. I did exactly the same prepared for the worst and hoped for the best. Bleeding early seems quite common. All the best chick x

Is it red spotting or brown? I spotted at 6 weeks and had a scan and everything was ok they could see the bleed. Luckily it stopped after a few days.

It’s brown so fair but a reasonable amount, scan booked today at 9.30. Thanks for your reply. X

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and I started bleeding on Tuesday night. I got scanned on Wednesday and baby is absolutely fine - doing what it does! The sonographer found a clot which is what they think is causing the bleeding. I have book a private scan tonight just for further reassurance as I'm still bleeding.

I think the advice tends to be that if you're not in pain or filling a pad within an hour then it should be ok but you should always have it checked out. x

Hi penny. I had a bleed at 6.5 weeks and another at 14weeks. I'm now nearly 17 weeks with twins. So please don't loose hope. Fingers crossed. Xx

I bled regularly, bright red and pink, for several weeks from week 8, I'm now 24 weeks. Best of luck with your scan, bleeding can happen for so many reasons xx

Thanks everyone for your support. I had a scan today and everything going ok. Next scan on Tuesday to see how things progressing. The bleeding seems to be slowing down xx

Good luck for tomorrow. I had some bleeding at 6 weeks (last week) and I had a scan everything was fine and they discharged me from the clinic. I am still spotting a little bit now and again but the reassured me there was no bleeding around the bean and just said some people do just spot. Xx
