Injection bruising

Did my first Buserelin injection last night. Didn’t hurt and was just very itchy after. I have a large lovely bruise this morning. Can’t imagine what my stomach is going to look like with the bruising after the the injections to come. Any suggestions on how to stop bruising? I’m wondering if it’s the medication because I did three rounds of IUI injections on menaphur with no bruising at all.

Hi claire, ive started mine too and it is itchy after. Try to find a fleshyy bit of skin to inject or i think you can use an ice or something to numb the area beforehand xx good luck xx

Hi ClaireAlley.. Oh dear not nice! Try melting an ice cube on the spot before injecting. Always push needle in slowly, inject slowly, ensure the plunger is right down before pulling out slowly. Good luck! Diane

I haven’t tried the ice yet. So will give that ago. See if it stops the bruising. X

Try and pinch the skin a little and once needle is in let the skin go flat x
