Advice needed

Hello ladies, after a bit of advice, after my follow up last month my consultant said i would be doing a natura frozen transfer, however i went to see my nurse today to sign consents etc and she says my doctor has now advised that i do a medicated as my blood test showed progesterone quite low and they think i did not ovulate. However, i tracked my ovulation last month and got a positive and my period was 5 days late that month.

My april period was around the 18th and gt a positive for ovulation on the 6th may but had my blood test on the 8th may.

Do you think i should wait until next month to see for ovulation and do a natural or just start now with the medicated?

Should i be worried that i didnt ovulate? Why didnt i ovulate?

Is medicated the same as natural in terms of success rates??

Personally I would do medicated if there’s any doubt about your hormone levels.

The benefit with a medicated cycle is that they take over your hormone levels so it doesn’t matter if you haven’t ovulated yourself. I don’t know whether there’s any difference in success rates between medicated and natural. What I do understand is that if you don’t ovulate on the same day each cycle then it’s more difficult to track and could land transfer on a weekend when the clinic has a skeleton staff. My clinic doesn’t offer natural transfers for that reason.

One thing that may cause it - you say your blood test was only 2 days after ovulation? When in your cycle do you ovulate? I ovulate late and I also had a blood test a couple of days later which showed very low progesterone levels. When I had a blood test on a different cycle 7 days after ovulation they were slightly higher.

This is the thing... im not sure when im my cycle i ovulate as i have only just started tracking it.... im just a bit worries that my body would work better with a natural fet.... but everywhere i read says this is not the case and natural and medicated success rates are the same x
