IVF. Post ET trigger shot tested out after 2 days. Is this possible?

Hi everyone,

Am new on here and just wondering if anyone can help please. It's my first round of ICSI. I took ovidrel 1dpt. Out of curiosity thought I would test it out of system hmmm. HPT was positive yesterday 2dpt but negative this morning 3dpt is this possible? It was 12 clicks of ovidrel. I thought it would stay in system for a lot longer 🙈. Anyone had something similar? Think I should have just left it alone haha.

Thankyou 😊

Probably what you saw on the first test was the remnants of the trigger shot and now you are in the actual waiting time. When is your otd? Good luck with your wait xx

Hi, thankyou for replying. I am hoping that it just leaves my system quick because the full dose for EC was out my system by 5th day. I just thought it took about 10-14 days for everyone eek. My OTD is mon 11th june 🙈 had a 5dt on Monday this wk. Are you currently on a cycle?

Thankyou for the luck 🤞 xx

Hi

I am just waiting to start my next cycle once I get my next period. All the waiting is the hardest part. That and being in our own minds! Ha ha.

What a long wait you have though. It must be so hard. But if your otd isn't until 11th then you still have 12 days to go so I wouldn't expect a positive or a correct negative at this stage at all. Especially with an hpt.

Good luck and keep strong xx

Thankyou yeh it's very difficult but am staying positive or trying to haha. Yeh I just wanted to test it out so I know that I will get an accurate hpt on otd. Just strange how it only took 48hrs to leave my system but I suppose we all different hehe. I was a bit shocked to have another injection after my egg transfer haha. Me poor hormones 🙈.

Oh bless you. Lots of luck to you! I salute you and all the other women (and men) that have already been through this. It's certainly one tough journey. Good luck xx

Sorry, I’ve not heard of taking it post transfer only to trigger egg collection. With the egg collection dosage it’s usually about 10 days to get out of your system. What’s the rationale for giving it post transfer? Maybe it’s just a much lower dose which explains why it’s left your system faster.

Thankyou for your reply 👍🏻 yeh that makes ssnse I guess. I asked nurse cos i was a bit taken aback lol she said its because of hcg it tricks the body into thinking it's pg and produces correct hormones etc. Here's hoping 🤞🤞 eek x
