I just wanted to post and hopefully bring hope to someone who is currently where I was a year ago.
After 3 years of infertility ivf was our only option, and spent hours googling ‘can ivf work first time’ and was pretty disappointed to read that it’s very unlikely. Which is why I wanted to share our story.
I have blocked tubes and low AMH, so when we retrieved 6 eggs I was so happy, only to find out that only one had fertilised. Thinking it was all over I braced myself for the next round but somehow our little embryo made it to transfer and then amazingly it stuck and we got our bfp! After a very anxious and long pregnancy our little sunshine was born 5 weeks ago and we couldn’t be more in love. She’s the most perfect thing we’ve ever seen 😀
So I know it’s unlikely, and I know some of you have been through such long journeys, but I just wanted to remind everyone that miracles do happen!

Hi Runner90. That's a lovely heart warming success story. Enjoy all the adventures you have lying ahead of you with your beautiful daughter. Take lots of photos too as she will alter so quickly. Diane
Congratulations!! Your story gives me hope!! I have my first ever transfer on Saturday and I keep reading the stats on google and they don’t sound very positive!
Just come across this as we are in the same situation - 7 eggs collected and only one fertilised. This has given me some hope, thank you for posting and enjoy your little miracle 🥰 xxx
